- The person I met: qiqi – an influencer on Instagram that I admires

- When: last summer vacation, when I had a trip to phu quoc
- Where: at a restaurant near the beach
- First impression: her outfit (unique and aesthetic), her brown curly hair
- Appearance: very high, slim because she is also a model, fashionable clothes
- Not only pretty but also has a warm heart -> do charity and be friendly to her fans

Topic 8: Childhood and Children

Describe a person who made you laugh happily when you were a child

You should say:

➔ Who this person is

➔ What this person did to make you laugh

➔ Why this person made you laugh

and how you felt about it.

- Who: a clown who is invited in my birthday party when I was a child

- Appearance: rainbow hair, big red nose with a hilarious way of makeup on his face
- What he did: organized some interesting games for me and my friends, made some
animal-shaped balloons, told us some jokes
- Feeling: immensely happy, feel lovely whenever I recall about that day, be a part of my
good memories, wish I could go back to that time
Topic 9: Famous people

Describe a foreign celebrity you want to meet in person

You should say:

and why you want to meet this person.

- Who: Angelina Jolie – an American actress, filmmaker, and a philanthropist

- Appearance: light brown eyes and full lips with perfect body, always appears
fashionably in every events
- How: was impressed by her beauty and acting ability through the ‘mr and mrs Smith’,
her reputation is also more well-known after this project.
- Beside being fully exp in acting, she also did lots of charitable works such as visit African
children or build schools for refugee – which why I really look up to
- I wish I could meet her face to face in order to have her signature as well as get to know
more about her hobbies

Topic 10: Music and Musicians

Describe your favorite singer or band

You should say:

➔ Who your favorite singer is

➔ What his/her personality is

➔ What kind of style his/her music belongs to

and explain why he/she is your favorite singer.

- Who: Taylor Swift – an famous American singer and songwriter, 32 yrs old
- Career: passionated in singing when she was little, became popular at an early age ( 16
yrs old with the song Love Story – which was written by herself), becoming more
 successful in the music field with some hits such as LWYMMD or Blank Space – also my
fav song
- Personality: be welcoming and kind with her fans (visited a kid fan in the hospital and
wrote a song about him after his death due to disease). Although some tabloids are
trying to tarnish her reputation but she still stays strong and helps people.
- Types of music: used to sing country music but now changes into pop (according to an
interview, she wanted to change her style to refresh herself)
- Why I like her: not only her music but also her inspiration to my life, I’ve learnt a lot
from her meaningful lyrics

Topic 11: Working

Describe someone you would like to study or work with

You should say:

➔ Who this person is

➔ How long you have known this person

➔ What you have done together

and explain why you would like to work / study with this person.

- Who: my friend – Huong, a reliable and determined person

- Appearance: shortsighted like me, modest clothes, kinda thin, super tall
- How long: we’ve been classmate from secondary school til now, for almost 7 years
- What: many projects have been done by us and got desirable scores -> nice collab.
- such a diligent person -> look up to her -> start being hard-working, contributes the
most in every team projects to come up with ideas
- concession: although shes a humorous person but in studying, she becomes very serious
and strict, and that’s also why I feel like I could stay focused more when I study with her
+ helps me with tough exercises.
Topic 12: The elderly

Describe an old person who is interesting

You should say:

➔ Who this person is

➔ How you know this person

➔ What you do with this person

and explain why you think this person is interesting.

- Who: my neighbor – about 80 yrs old

- Appearance: fully white hair with beard, modest lifestyle (simple clothes,..)
- How: since I moved to my recent accommodation, his house right besides mine
- What: share same hobbies (watering flowers, petting dogs and cats..). sometimes he
gifts me and my sister with fruits or candies
- Why: despite of the old age, I can always feel the young energy inside this man. He still
rides his bike to the park and does light workout in the morning.
