First of all, we would like to say Good afternoon Ms / Mrs…….my name is Lập, . I am from

class PC19341. I’m 19 years old. I live in Cần Thơ city but I’m originally from An Giang.

My major is Software Engineering. I’m really eassy going and extrovert. I am interested in

badminton and listen to music makes me comfortable. Today, when it comes to the exam, if

there are any mistakes, please forgive me. Thank you so much!!!!!

A: You know, I've been thinking about how our personalities shape who we are.

B: Yeah, it's fascinating how we're all unique in our own ways.

A: I think a lot of it comes from our upbringing and experiences growing up. But lately, I've

been wanting to develop more patience. I tend to get frustrated easily, A: It's all about self-

awareness and growth, right? Recognizing our strengths and weaknesses and working on

becoming the best versions of ourselves.

A: Have you heard about the National Music Showcase happening next month?

B: Yeah, I've heard a bit about it. What's it all about?

A: It's called "Melody Masters," and it's held annually in the capital city. The competition

aims to discover and promote talented musicians from all genres across the country. A:

Anyone can audition, but the contestants are usually a mix of solo artists, bands, and even

orchestras. They come from all walks of life, from amateur performers to seasoned

professionals. Then there are the semi-finals and finals, where the top performers compete

for the title of "Melody Master" and various prizes. It's a thrilling event that celebrates the

diversity and richness of our country's music scene.

B: That's interesting.

A: Have you ever tried the "no-spend challenge"?

B: No, I haven't. What's that all about?

A: It's where you challenge yourself to go for a certain period, like a week or a month,

without spending any money on non-essential items. You only spend money on necessities

like food, bills, and transportation. I tried it for a month last year, and it was definitely a

challenge, but it taught me a lot about my spending habits and helped me realize how much

money I was wasting on things I didn't really need. A: It's becoming more popular. Many

people find it to be a great way to reset their finances and break free from impulse spending.

A: It was surprisingly effective.. It's definitely something I would recommend trying, even if

just for a short period of time.

A: Have you noticed the rise of "ao dai" in Vietnamese fashion lately?

B: Yes, I've seen it everywhere! When did this trend start?

A: It gained momentum around two years ago but has really taken off recently. The

traditional ao dai has been reimagined in modern designs and fabrics, making it more

accessible and appealing to younger generations. A: Well, aside from the traditional long

tunic and trousers, designers have been incorporating bold colors, intricate embroidery, and

unique cuts to give the ao dai a contemporary twist. You'll also see accessories like statement

jewelry and stylish footwear paired with them.A: Personally, I love it. It's fantastic to see

traditional Vietnamese fashion being celebrated and reinvented in such a creative way.

B: I agree. It's refreshing to see traditional clothing making a comeback in the fashion scene.

It adds a sense of pride and identity to our culture.

Topic 5: Make a conversation about some inappropriate public behaviors in your city.

A: Do you remember when I had that adorable golden retriever named Lucky?

B: Of course! He was such a lovable dog. How is he doing?

A: Unfortunately, Lucky passed away last year. But he brought so much joy to our lives

while he was with us. We also had to make sure he had a balanced diet and regular vet

check-ups. He was incredibly loyal and affectionate, always there to greet us with a wagging

tail and a big smile. Plus, he was great with kids and other animals, making him the perfect

family pet. I think it's because they have such friendly and gentle temperaments. They're

great with families, easy to train, and always eager to please. Plus, they're so darn cute! It's

hard not to fall in love with them.

Topic 7. Make a conversation about an ad by which you were persuaded to buy a

product. You should include:

- factors that persuaded you to buy the product

Topic 8: Make a conversation about parent-teen issues or conflicts that someone you

- parent’s and child’s reaction

- negotiations between them to solve the problem

A: So, I had a pretty big argument with my parents last night.

B: What happened? If you don't mind sharing.

A: Well, they've been pressuring me a lot lately about my grades and extracurricular

activities. They want me to excel in everything, but it's just too much to handle sometimes.

At first, they got defensive and said they were only pushing me because they wanted what's

best for me. But eventually, they realized that their expectations were causing me a lot of

anxiety and affecting my mental health. we had a long talk about finding a balance between

academic success and self-care. We agreed on setting more realistic goals and boundaries,

and they promised to be more supportive and understanding moving forward.


B: It sounds like a tough situation, but I'm glad you were able to communicate with your

parents and find a solution together. It shows a lot of maturity on your part.

Topic 9: Make a conversation about a lie that you told someone with a good purpose.

You should include:

- the situation in which you told this lie

- the person whom you told the lie

- reason why you told the lie to the person

- your feelings about this experience

A: Hey, remember when I told you I couldn't make it to your party because I had a family

emergency?

B: Yeah, I remember. What about it?

A: Well, the truth is, there wasn't actually any emergency. I just needed some time alone to

recharge.I didn't want to disappoint you or make you feel like I didn't want to be there. You

were really excited about the party, and I didn't want to let you down. I'm sorry. I didn't

realize at the time that honesty would have been better than trying to spare your feelings. I'll

make sure to be more upfront in the future.

B: It's okay. I understand you had good intentions. Just remember that honesty is important

in our friendship.

A: Absolutely. I've learned my lesson. Thanks for understanding


Topic 10: Make a conversation in which one of you is stressed out about forgetting to

do something. You should include:

- things that were forgotten

- their consequences

- recommendations for reducing stress

- explanations for their effectiveness

A: I can't believe I forgot to pick up my sister from the airport! She's been waiting for over

an hour now.

B: Oh no, that's not good. I'm sure she's feeling frustrated.

A: Yeah, I feel terrible about it. She was counting on me, and now she's probably wondering

what's going on. the first thing to do is to call her and apologize. Try not to dwell on it too

much. Instead, focus on finding a solution and making things right. I need to make sure this

doesn't happen again. I think I should set reminders on my phone or use a calendar app to

keep track of important events and appointments.
