Dinner Roll
A dinner roll is a small, typically round or oval-shaped bread roll served as a side dish with
meals, especially during dinner. Dating back to Ancient times, dinner rolls are named for their
original purpose as an easily passed dinner food.
Baking Terminologies
Dough - Dough is a mixture of flour, water, and other ingredients that is typically used as a basis
for making various baked goods such as bread, rolls, pastries, and pizza crust.
Egg Wash -Egg wash is a mixture of beaten eggs (whole eggs or just the whites or yolks,
depending on the desired effect) and often a small amount of liquid, such as water, milk, or
cream. This mixture is brushed onto the surface of baked goods before they are placed in the
oven.
Kneading- is a crucial step in the process of making bread and some other baked goods. It is a
technique used to work and manipulate dough to develop gluten, a protein network that gives
bread its structure, elasticity, and texture.
Mise en place- is a French culinary term that translates to "everything in its place." It refers to
the practice of preparing and organizing all the ingredients needed for a recipe before starting
the cooking or baking process.
Yeast- microorganisms that produce carbon dioxide gas when it mixes with carbohydrates,
causing the dough to rise.

Ingredients:
1/8 C sugar
¼ Tsp salt
½ C Fresh milk
2 pcs eggs
Lard
Procedure:
4. Mix well and knead for 15-20 mins . When the dough is already smooth and elastic, form a
ball and set aside for 20 minutes or until it doubles in size.
5. Punch the dough. Flatten and weigh for 50gms or make it to 9 pieces.
6. Arrange in baking sheet and set aside for 30 mins or until it increases its size.
