Slide 1

Good afternoon, my teacher and

my classmates. My name is Tam
and today I’m going to tell you
about immigrants and refugees. I
hope you guys can understand the
differences between two
definitions.
Slide 2.
So here is our table of contents.
First, I will tell you the definition of
immigrant and refugee.
Then, I will talk about moving for
the opportunity for immigrants
and moving for safety for refugees,
and next is the immigrant journey,
the refugees protection.
And the last one waiting for the
new home.
Slide 3:
First of all, what do you think of an
immigrant? Who are they?
To put it simply, an immigrant is a
person living in a country other
than that of his or her birth
Immigrants Can get familiar with
the concept of migration.
Moreover, they can understand
the role that geography plays in
migration. They can analyze the
push and pull factors related to
migration. They can use critical
thinking to speculate about the
future of human migration
Slide 4
Next, as you can see: Moving is a
form of safety for refugees
because it allows them to escape
threats to their lives and well-
being. Here's a breakdown of the
reasons why:
First, moving is to Avoid Violence
and Persecution:
Refugees often flee war zones,
areas of violent conflict, or
situations where they face
persecution due to their race,
religion, or political beliefs
The second reason is to Reduce
Risk of Harm:
Moving can lead them to areas
with better security, reduced risk
of violence, and a lower threat of
human rights abuses.
Third, Access to Humanitarian Aid:
Refugee camps and established
host countries often have
organizations providing food,
shelter, and medical care.
And last Long-term Security:
The hope for many refugees is to
eventually find a permanent home
where they can rebuild their lives
in safety.

Slide 5:
"The Immigrant's Journey" is the
story of people who move to a
new country for different reasons.
Moving can be exciting but also
hard because they have to adjust
to a new place, learn new rules,
and sometimes face challenges like
not knowing the language or
feeling left out. Despite these
difficulties, immigrants often work
hard, make new friends, and
contribute to their new 0 their
journey helps us appreciate their
experiences and support them
better.
Slide 6:
Now I will share with you about
the refugee protection this
protection involves ensuring that
refugees have access to safety,
basic necessities such as shelter,
food, and medical care, as well as
legal support to seek asylum and
avoid being returned to situations
of danger or harm. It also
encompasses efforts to address
the underlying causes of
displacement and to find durable
solutions that promote the well-
being and rights of refugees.
Slide 7:
The number of refugees is going
up a lot. This means there's a big
need for good ways to help them
move to new places. Migration
crisis happens because of war,
fighting, and climate change,
making lots of people leave their
homes. Countries that take in
refugees have to deal with a big
problem because they have to
help a lot of refugees.
Look at this illustration, I take the
war between Russia and Ukraine
as an example,….

Slide 8:
In conclusion, although refugees
and immigrants are different in
terms of definition but in general
they are seeking a better new life,
the governments of all countries
should create policies to support
them to have a job and a life
better.
The hope for many refugees is to eventually find a permanent home where they can rebuild their lives
in safety.
