Objectives: by the end of the CALA learners should be able to
1. List at least three effects of veld fires
2. Define the term fire drill and state at least 3 fire drill method
3. Identify tools used to do a fire drill
4. Educate others on what to do when there is fire
5. Protect their buildings from fire using a fire guard method
BACKGROUND
The teacher has noted that there is a serious outbreak of fire due to people who are burning bushes preparing for farming in the next season and the
school might be affected hence the need to protect our science laboratory from fire.
Facilitator notes
-learners will be given guidelines on how to conduct observations
Teacher to supervise this and learner's to submit their findings
Learners to create poems /drama/songs /to educate others in the school

PART B
YOU ARE EXPECTED TO DESIGN AND ORGANISE AN AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN FORM OF A POSTER, FLYERS
PART C
DESIGN A MODEL THAT CAN BE USED TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF FIRE
