GRADING SYSTEM

The grading will be bin accordance with the PERFORMANCE – BASED TEST. The
test of acknowledge and skills will only result to either “COMPETENT or NOT
COMPETENT”.

Honors and Awards

NEAFI grants recognition, honors, and awards to deserving graduating students as


follows:

1.) Academic Excellence, 2.) Top Skills Performance, 3.) Leadership Award.

Candidates for honors are selected by the academic Counsel and Committee on
Honors and Awards based on present criteria.

Other Academic Rules and Regulations

A complete listing of the Academic Rules and Regulation is only possible upon
full implementation of the Competency – Based Education System. There are
eight (8) components to implement a CBTESD system successfully.

1. OBTAIN MANDATE TO IMPLEMENT SYSTEM CHANGE - National vision -


Organizational mission

2. IDENTIFY NATIONAL PROPERTIES AND LOCAL NEEDS - Identify national


economic development properties - Asses regional needs in relation to the
industry - Requirements - Maintain local network for reliable information

3. IDENTIFY REQUIRED COMPETENCES (DACUM PROCESS) - Occupational


analysis - Job analysis - Task analysis - Determining competency standards -
Validate findings

4. INSTRUCTIONAL ANALYSIS - Write performance objectives - Describe action


to learn skills and relevant theory - List required tools and equipment and
materials - Specify evaluation methodology - List special attitudes and values

5. DEVELOPMENT INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL - Identify and select


instructional materials to support competency - Source and locate material -
Adapt and locate materials - Develop non- existing instructional material -
Develop instructional aids and devices

6. PREPARE INSTRUCTION AND COMMUNITY FOR CHANGE - Administration

7. IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS - Verify all components of the system - Apply

The success of the system largely depends on the delivery system. The delivery
system in turns is quite dependent upon the capability of the instructors and
availability of instructional materials. Competency – Based Education uses
modularized instructional materials with both required and optional learning
activities to achieve flexibility and provide for different learning styles.
