1) Dua when beginning the fast

َ ‫ت ِم ْن‬
َ ‫ش ْه ِر َر َم‬
‫ضا َن‬ ُ ‫ َو ْي‬1‫ص ْوم ِ َغ ٍد ن‬
َ ‫َو ِب‬
I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in
the month of Ramadan (an intention can be
made in the heart without reciting this
dua).

2) Dua when breaking the fast 1

َ ‫ا? َْج ُر ِا ْن‬
:;‫شا َء ا‬ ْ ‫ت‬ ِ ‫ل‬1 َ ‫ َمأ ُ َوابْت‬1‫ب الظ‬
َ َ‫ت ا ْل ُع ُر ْوقُ َوثَب‬ َ ‫ذَ َه‬
The thirst has gone and the veins are
moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if
Allah wills (Abu Dawud).

3) Dua when breaking the fast 2

ُ ‫ت َو َع َلى ِرز ِْق َك اَفْطَ ْر‬

‫ت‬ ُ ْ ‫ت َو ِب َك ا ٰ َمن‬ ُ ‫يْ َل َك‬Y‫م ِان‬1 ‫ ُه‬:‫اَلل‬
ُ ‫ص ْم‬
O Allah! I have fasted for You and I believe
in You, and with your provision (food) I
break my fast (Abu Dawud).

4) Dua when breaking the fast at

someone’s house
‫ت َع َل ْي ُك ُم‬ْ ‫ل‬1 ‫ص‬ ْ ‫ َوأ َ َك َل طَ َعا َم ُك ُم‬،َ‫ائ ُمون‬ 1 ‫أَفْطَ َر ِعن ْ َد ُك ُم‬
ِ ‫الص‬
ُ ‫ا^ َ ْب َر‬
َ ‫ َو‬،‫ار‬
‫ َِئ َك ُة‬eَf‫ْا‬
May the fasting break their fast in your
home, and may the dutiful and pious eat
your food, and may the angles send prayers
upon you (Abu Dawud).
