Part I. Exit Pass

I know about the brief history of Environmental Science.

First, I know that Malthusianism, as defined by Thomas Robert Malthus, was a popular theory at the time and offered a
solution to the population-related problem we face today. It is a strict limit on reproduction. Even everyone agrees that
increasing the population will not benefit humanity since it will just prevent everyone from having an equal opportunity,
particularly in terms of access to food, and poverty results from this. Along with that, Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring
has come to my awareness. A book discussing the environmental effects of pesticides. Because it kills the environment
rather than pests, the people's original purpose was not met by its use. Since pests can become immune to pesticides, their
effectiveness as a control measure is questionable. It is more likely that those who consume food contaminated by pesticides
will suffer.

In addition, I know of Garret Hardin's concept of the tragedy of the common. This idea discusses how each person should
take responsibility for their own needs. It discusses the effects of sharing limited resources among numerous people as well
as the efficacy of common regulations. A person who prioritizes their own interests will consume resources excessively,
which is bad for those who share those resources. Making and adhering to regulations would undoubtedly sustain and better
protect the resources and meet our demands in the long term, preventing it.

Finally, my knowledge of history extends to the 1960s and beyond. A phase of growth for the environmental movement
until it reaches an improved state. Where legislation aimed at protecting the environment was created. Many laws were
created for us to abide by. As a result of sustainable development, human goals for the environment have also improved
over time.
