It has been said that humans are the worst thing that could have happened to planet Earth.
Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Use specific reasons and examples to support
your answer.

How much better would be the planet with or without us? The Earth has been a beautiful place
to live since dinosaurs, however, the human hasn´t been able to manage the resources
correctly, but, if we could have an ecological view of this impact, we could change the system.
So this is one reason why the intervention of the human being has given that touch of life to
planet earth. The human race is the best thing that could happen to the earth because of the
reforestation of desert ecosystems, resettlement of species in extinction and an optimal
contamination of the earth.

First, reforestation of desert and abandoned ecosystems. The ecological actions of the human
have being challenged great problems of our ecosystem over time, one of them has been to
help other species survive, due to the complex habitat in which they develop, where the main
shortage is that of water, which limits the life expectancy of many species, in addition the
human hand has contributed enormously to produce ecosystems abundant in flora and fauna,
even knowing that in a certain part it destroys them, it has managed in a certain way to
maintain a balance between its resources and needs. Finally, for a better care of these fragile
ecosystems, the human being makes these types of areas untouchable and protects them so
that they are not accessed by malicious agents. For reasons such as those already mentioned,
it is that the impact of man on ecosystems is not entirely tragic, but that there is clear evidence
that supports man's intention to care for and preserve natural resources, since their existence
and evolution depend on them.

Second, when we talk about resettlement of endangered species, we mean that humans have
helped species that are endangered by natural causes or by humans. Humans have helped
species that due to natural factors have lost a large part of their population. For example,
scientists are helping tortoises in Galapagos repopulate the islands, because they cannot travel
very far on their own. Humans have also helped species that have been affected by the
destruction of ecosystems such as forest clearance. For example, scientists helped panda bears
in China to regain their population, which, due to the destruction of their ecosystem,
drastically decreased their number. Many organizations have also helped species that have
been endangered by contamination from human activities. For example, scientists are helping
giant otters in Ecuador that have been affected by mining activities in rivers. There are many
ways that people can help endangered species, but the main thing is that we value the life of
each animal equally.

Third, an optimal contamination is the long-term equilibrium for the earth. The people will
contaminate the earth, that’s a fact, but, an optimal usage of resources are necessary for this
benefit for so long because in this way we can buy the optimal resources such as: food,
clothing, etc., and at the same time, the reduce the impact of the contamination. Moreover,
politics are a strong instrument for the people and Companies to save the planet too, in
consequence, politicians has the power to declare laws in favor of the earth, then we could live
a such better life quality with the environment, for example, a law that protect the extreme
deforestation of public privates. In addition, partially, depends on the behavior of the people,
an ecological culture for our waste is important, therefore, we will positively contribute to
better world.

In sum, human beings represent something positive that has happened to the earth due to
many things such as the reforestation of arid areas, the repopulation of endangered species
and the correct management of the contamination of the earth. The human race has the
ability to help planet earth, many animal and plant species. All this can be achieved if we
propose to give a positive impact little by little, with small actions on a daily basis.
