Chapter 27 – Chuskit Goes to School

1. How do you go to school?

Ans: I go to my school by an auto every morning. The auto comes to my house

to pick me up and after school drops me back to my house.

2. Find out where Ladakh is. What kind of a place is it?

Ans: Ladakh is amongst the nine union territories of the country. It is located in
the northern region of the India above Jammu and Kashmir. Ladakh is amongst
the coldest place in the country.

3. What are the things that you enjoy doing in school?

Ans: The activities that I enjoy the most in school are games, craft and music.

4. Do you like going to school?

Ans: Yes, I like going to school. Every morning I wake up and start getting ready
to go to school. Going to school makes me happy.

5. Would you like it if you never could go to school?

 Ans: No, I would not like if I never go to school. I love doing various activities
in my class and I like going to school.

6. Who all helped Chuskit to reach school?

Ans: Chuskit was helped by many people so that she could reach school and these
people were: Abdul, Headmaster of the school, children studying in the same
school and the teachers who taught Chuskit. Chuskit needed help because she
was handicapped and was always on the wheel chair.

7. If you were Abdul what would you have done?

Ans: Abdul always used to help Chuskit to reach to the school safely. If I were
Abdul, I also would have helped Chuskit and many other children like Chuskit.

8. At last, Chuskit could reach school. Do you think that she may face some
difficulties in school? What kind of difficulties? If you were Chuskit’s
friend, how would you help her?

Ans: The school in which we study does have the proper facilities for a
handicapped student. We do not have handicapped friendly stairs or ramps on
which the wheel chair moves freely, so Chuskit might face some difficulties in
the school. If I were Chuskit’s friend, I would have helped her to move around in
the school.

9. Do you have ramps in your school on which a wheelchair can move?

Ans: No, we do not have ramps suitable for a wheelchair in our school. That is
why Chuskit will have some difficulty in moving around in the school. But all
the students and teachers will help her as much as we can.

 10. Do you know any child near your house who cannot go to school because
of some difficulty? Would you like to help such a child? How will you
help?

Ans: There is no such person or child near our house who cannot go to school
because of some difficulty. Yes, I would help such children. If a child is blind, I
would send him/her to the schools for binds with the help of my parents.

11. Look at the buildings around your house. Can a wheelchair go inside the
building?

Ans: There are many buildings around my house and they all have the ramps and
wheelchair friendly stairs, so that a wheelchair can go easily inside the building.

12. Help Chuskit to reach school.

Ans: Chuskit will reach school through the maze as:
