Practice Teacher

1
17th of March

We prepared to deploy to Western Abra National

High School on this day. We came at the school early

in the morning, but we will be deployed later. Our

Critic instructor was assigned by the principal, and

fortunately for me, I don't have anyone with whom to

share. Following the briefing, I met my Critic

teacher, who introduced me to the role of the

teacher during modular learning. We had a

lighthearted conversation. She let me depart with my

2
co-practice teachers after the meeting and told me

to begin working on my project the next morning. We

take a walk around campus before heading home to

get acquainted with the area and begin our field

study.

18th of March

We got at school early in the morning. I began to

follow the teachers' morning routine. I cleaned my

assigned area, went to get some water, and watered

the plants. Following the cleaning, I placed modules

and worksheets on the students' chairs. In the

afternoon, I handed out my ready-to-answer critic

teacher module to the students' designated teacher.

Later that day, I learned how difficult teachers'

jobs are in this pandemic; the work is difficult,

but they do their best to assist their students.

Arrive early again this morning, realizing that reality

of life is hitting me hard, this day you are relaxing

with nothing to worry about but tomorrow you don't

expect that you have lots of responsibilities in your

shoulder, that's the realization I learn during my

morning routine in school. This day, parents came to

school to submit and pick up their children's modules,

and I was thrilled to observe how modular learning

works and to get a glimpse into the life of a

renowned teacher. Students also attend school to

receive their module. We spend the entire day

waiting for parents to pick up their children's

modules.

22nd of March

I completed my morning ritual as normal on this day.

4
There were only a few tasks to complete, and once I

completed them, my co-practice teachers requested

for my assistance in sorting the modules. We clean

and organize our lodgings in the afternoon.

Life learning: You should make every effort to grow

and strengthen your life skills in anything you do.

23rd of March

My critic teacher's students addressed me as "Sir"

early this morning, and it feels great to be addressed

as such. I recognized that with just a little more

effort and sacrifice, I could become a future

teacher. After cleaning, I asked my critic for the

worksheet and test answer keys, I verified the

students' papers, and then I had a break. Afternoons

are spent working on my field study and wandering

about campus.

24th of March

While going about my daily routine, a coworker came

by and informed me that our school's graduation

application is already in the works. I was overjoyed to

learn that, and I resolved to become a hardworking

student in order to graduate. I want to give

everything I have into my practice teaching so that I

can learn. This morning, I handed out modules to all

of the students' chairs.

25th of March

I've been given the responsibility of rearranging our

room and removing the isolation area today. I

distributed student modules to their chairs after a

long hour of cleaning and arranging. And I'll resume

my field research in the afternoon.

Life learning: Teachers' work is exhausting, but

6
nothing is impossible when you put your heart into it.

Teachers are incredibly adaptable in their work, and

it is something I wish to remember.

28th of March

Early this day, as usual I do my morning routine. I

wait for parents to pick up their children's module

but some doesn't show up. In the afternoon I

distributed the retrieved module to the subject

teacher of the students.

29th of March

After my morning routine my co-practice teachers

requested my help to put their curtains at the

window because they say I am the only one who can

do it. I sort the students’ module and in the

afternoon I roam around to answer my field study

7
30th of March

This day I checked students’ modules after I cleaned

the room. There are only few things to do this day

and I have done it wholeheartedly. After this I

continue my field study in the afternoon.

1st of April

As time passes, I become more and more

engrossed in the teacher's job. I conducted my

morning routine as usual, but this time I planted

8
floral plants in my Critic's garden, which I hope will

live. In the afternoon, I went over the modules and

organized them. I placed each student's module in

their own drop box.

4th of April

Every Monday is a fresh start for me to work on

my life's shortcomings. Today, I was able to assist

myself in overcoming these deficiencies. For

students, Monday is "Retrieval and Submission" day.

Parents and kids came to pick up their modules and

submit them. In the afternoon, once all of the drop

boxes have been retrieved, I locate and retrieve my

Critic students' module, organize it, and distribute it

to their respective teachers.

9
Following my morning routine, I checked the

students' modules and assisted my co-teachers with

their duties. After that, I go for a walk around

campus to complete my Field Study.

Later that day, I realized that I have a purpose

in this world: to help and teach students, and I want

to teach not only because it is my future profession,

but also because it is my purpose in life.

6th of April

Sir Marco invited us to the computer room early

in the morning, at precisely 8:30 a.m. He taught us

how to use the various instructional materials

properly and with etiquette. We learnt how to use

Excel to grade students and how to integrate

different keys in a PowerPoint presentation. During

the orientation, I discovered that teachers must be

adaptable and embrace the 21st century's trend of

10
digital learning. My critic approached me in the

afternoon and asked for my assistance with her

career pathing orientation. I assisted her in sorting

and preparing her PowerPoint presentation for

tomorrow's presentation.

7th of April

My critic teacher gave a presentation on Career

Pathing today. She assists students in selecting their

tracks and strands for the forthcoming Grade 11

enrollment. Ma'am Marzan offers advice and

inspiration on whether or not to drop out of school.

By modifying her PowerPoint presentation, I assisted

her in delivering her discussion. I went to sort

modules and practice our presentation for the

culminating program after the seminar.

Life learning: If you want a brighter future, you must

be responsible in your decision-making. You must

11
exercise extreme caution and responsibility;

nonetheless, life is better when you choose to

educate yourself.

8th April

I went to see my colleagues after finishing my

morning routine so that we could practice our

presentation. I was overjoyed with the outcomes

because, despite the fact that we had a lot of

obligations on our shoulders, we were able to finish

and perform our dance in such a short amount of

time. Following the presentation, I returned to our

classroom to assist my critic instructor in

distributing temporary report cards to students'

parents or guardians. Ma'am Lylia invited us to meet

her at 11:20 a.m., congratulated us, and instructed us

on how to become effective future teachers.

from it.

Hello Pal, It was a long and exhausting day, but it
was worthwhile and productive; students have
already arrived at school to study. The systematize
procedure ensures that students follow all of the
school's requirements. We met our students today,
and I was really pleased to see how respectful they
were.
