This week was our first week of our internship here in

Domorog Elementary School. Maam Baylon, the principal

orient us to our about the school norms and tell us about
sharing of experiences when we’re still an observer here and
our experiences when we’re at Cataingan Municipal College.
After that, she immediately send us to our cooperating
teacher’s room where we have assigned. Then I meet Mrs.
Reina C. Constantino, my cooperating teacher for this month
as well as the pupils. This week also was a Women’s month
celebration so we have a parade. After the parade, there’s
Zumba and a short program held, everyone participated.
On the other day Ma’am Reina is not around, so I will be the
one who will manage the pupils for this wholeday. I’m so
nervous for this was my first time to handle kindergarten
pupils. Despite of nervous I felt, I id my very best to manage
well the pupils. I let them join the parade in order for them to
experience that kind of activity. I can see on their faces that
they we’re all excited to join the parade.
My fisrt week here was really okay, I’m nervous at first but
ma’am Reina is very kind and approachable so I’m happy.
This week was our Second week of my internship and this
Monday also was my first time to lead the flag raising
ceremony. I’m a bit nervous while I’m in front but I managed
to focused until it will be going to finish. So far, I have handled
myself well. This second week here also my cooperating
teacher assigned me a topic for my final demonstration. She
has decided me to pick a date I prefer to have a final demo. I
choose Thursday march 16, 2023. I prepare my IM’s and all
the materials needed to make my demo get well.
Thursday was my demo, so far it goes well. I’m thankful to
God for giving me guidance in everything I do, I did my demo
well even I’m a bit nervous along the demo.
I make sure that my learners will learn my topic. I make sure
that my pupils will enjoy while they are learning. After my
demo, my cooperating teacher talk about my demo. She
explain to me her observation during my observation. She
also talk to me on the lapses that needs improvement.
This was our third week of internship here in Domorog
Elementary School. Maam principal bring a dozen of
toothpastes and toothbrushes to our room, she said that
thOse are all from the division office which will be given to all
pupils of kindergarten. Pupils we’re all excited to receive such
gift like this, I can see it in their eyes that they we’re really
happy and excited. I’m happy for them also for the joy I saw
in their faces, they are so cute.
Handling kindergarten was enjoyable, you will not feel sleepy
because most of them we’re jolly and willing to learn. Being a
teacher of kindergarten pupils was lucky, they are so sweet
and curious all the time. To be a good teacher specially in
kindergarten pupils, you should have enough patience so can
handle the pupils well and will be an effective educator to the
children.
This week also the principal conducted a meeting for all the
teachers of Domorog Elementary School.
This was our fourth week here in Domorog Elementary
School and was our first month being an intern here in
Domorog E/S. This week we celebrated Women’s month, we
have a culminating activity in which everyone have a surprise
number that will be growing to present during the program.
It was a tiring day yet an enjoyable day. Everyone joined and
enjoyed the culminating activity.
On the other day ma’am principal call us a meeting for all
interns, it’s all about our second month of shifting. Ma’am
principal us to another grade level and for us to experience
another grade level and for us to experience to work with
another cooperating teacher. I’m a bit nervous for I will be
going to adjust our new atmosphere but I manage to stay
calm and be myself so I will not get stressed. Ma’am Baylon
motivated us during the meeting, she told us to stay happy
with the experiences we encountered. I appreciated the
kindness of our principal, for she always making sure that we
are all comfortable inside the school. She always ask if we are
okay, and she always listen to our opinion.
So we proceed to our next cooperating teacher and I felt so
nervous. But I managed to handle myself upon meeting my
new cooperating teacher and students.
This was our fifth week as being an intern here in Domorog
Elementary School. Maam Azaula, my new cooperating
teacher told me to indtroduce myself again in her class.
Honestly I still feel nervous even I already meet her pupils last
week the first day of our shifting. So I did introduce myself. I
just hope that I can bare with the different personalites of
grade 4-A pupils.
After introducing, I sat on the table where maam Azaula
assigned to me. I’m at the back, I’m just observing the class
for whole session. Upon observing, I noticed that they are not
totally noisy and they listen to their adviser discussing in
front. Their fist subject in the morning is math. They can
easily understand especially in math, there were attentive
during the discussion. Although they are shy but they still
stand to answer if maam Azaula calls their name to answer,
they participated.
I’m still adjusting in the class of grade IV-A Venus this time.
The pupils are sweet for they making a Thank you Card for
Teacher Judy An, their student teacher before.
This was our Sixth week after the Holyweek Maundy
Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and another holiday
was a long weekend for everyone. It was a 5 consecutive days
no classes. After that long weekend was our sixth week of our
internship here in Domorog Elementary School. I am still
adjusting myseylf tho the pupils, so far I can say that grade IV
pupils are intelligent for they can easily understand the
lesson. This week also has a halfday classes, they suspend the
class this April 11, 2023 because of the Tropical storm
“Amang”.Students were adviced to go home immediately for
their safety. Teachers dismissed the class for the safety of
everyone.
On April 12, 2023, the classes in Domorog Elementary School
were immediately resumed. This day I handled the math
subject, the first subject in the morning. I review to them
about dividing whole numbers. I can see those students don’t
know yet how to solve correctly the division.
This day was the starting of their periodical test, so my
cooperating teacher and I were start reviewing the pupils.
This week was our Seventh week of our internship here in
Domorog Elementary School. This week is their grading
periodical test, Maam Azaula ask me a favor to review them
before they will be going to take the exam. Actually last week
they already started the periodical test and they already done
the 2 subjects which is ESP and SCIENCE so today is the
continuation of their exam.
On the other day Maam Azaula was the one who review the
students in MAPEH subject. I can say that she was very
knowledgeable and fluent enough to discuss to the pupils
about whats on the test paper. She really a good teacher
indeed, I can say that maam Azaula is bright. Students was
very attentive in listening the teacher.
This week the only focused is the grading periodical test.
Maam Azaula focused on the grading periodic, she make sure
that this week, all the subjects will be took by the Grade IV-A
Venus.
This was our Eighth week of being an intern here in Domorog
Elementary School. Yesterday was holiday so the classes was
resumed today. Ma’am Azaula discussed about the graph and
finding the area of a parallelogram. After the discussion
Maam Azaula give them an activity that will be able them to
participate.
The classes run well till in the afternoon, I can say that pupils
were attentive the whole class. They were so interested when
they know new ideas about the lesson. There are times that
they got easily distracted but its okay because they can easily
go back listening to the teacher. This week they are focused
on finding an area of an irregular figure.
On the afternoon, I’m teaching the English subject I can say
that pupils is willing to learn the lesson, they really pay
attention everytime the teacher discussed about this lesson.
Though there are times they easily distracted, but they will
immediately back to their mind and then listen to the
teacher. It’s a tiring week to manage pupils with different
personality and different level of learning capability.
This week was our Nineth week internship here in Domorog
Elementary School. This week also were straight that I am
teaching the English subject every afternoon in the class. I’m
enjoying to teach them, to impart them my knowledge about
this subject and I’m glad that Maam Azaula gave her trust to
me to teach the English subject in her class. I discussed about
the Reality and Fantasy. I read them the legend that is found
on their English book. After they listen, I let them write the
underlined sentences and I let them guess if it is a reality or a
fantasy. After the discussion, I give them a short quiz. For the
last week of our internship, I give snacks to my Grade 4-A
pupils, biscuits and juices. I’m glad they are happy to the
snacks I give to them and they say thank you.
Since this was our last week here in Domorog Elementary
School, all of us were happy for this achievement that we
have completed. We have completed the 360 hours of being
a student teacher here. We are interns here for 2 months so
everyone were happy to comply this requirement to
graduate.
