INT. HOSPITAL STAFF MEETING ROOM - DAY

A weekly staff meeting is in session. Dr. A, Dr. B, Nurse C, Nurse D,
Intern E, and Warehouse Manager F gather around the table.

Alright, let's begin today meeting. I've noticed

reports of equipment shortages in various (looking at
DR. A
departments. Dr. B, care to elaborate(ờ lá bo his/her note)
rây)?

Yes, the surgical wing is in dire need of surgical

DR. B kits, and the cardiology department is missing
essential monitoring devices.

NURSE C (raising his/her hand)

DR. B Yes, You may speak Nurse C

Thank you, DR B. The ICU is also facing a

NURSE C shortage of infusion pumps. It's affecting patient
care, and we can't keep postponing procedures.

I agree with you. The shortage of isolation

NURSE D gowns is compromising our ability to maintain a (nod)
safe environment in the infectious disease ward.
Not only that but in the surgery room we are in
NURSE C needs of more latex gloves, syringes and oxygen
tanks for patient rooms.

May i add one more thing, from what i

INTERN E accounted we are missing some wheelchairs and
pressure mattress in the orthopedic department.

Alright, we need to restock those supplies in

mater of time to keep up with the health care
DR. B
programs in the hospital. Can you handle this
Mr. F ?

WAREHOUS
(writting in
E MANAGER Of course, I have noted it all down Dr. B
his note)
F

Um ,I've tried locating supplies in the (looking

INTERN E warehouse, but it seems like there's a significant thought a list
gap in our inventory. of supplies)

DR. A Can you shown me the list intern E ?

INTERN E (walk over giving dr. A the list)

Why are we on such a low amount of supplies.
DR. A Mr. F what happen to our annual supplies this
month ?
WAREHOUS Unfortunately our last shipment got delayed due
E MANAGER to unforeseen circumstances. We're doing our (sighs)
F best to expedite it.

We can't afford to wait. Patient care is at risk.

(scratching
DR. A Any suggestions on how we can manage until
his head)
the supplies arrive?

I have an idea. what if we temporarily borrow

equipment from less critical areas? The ER or
NURSE C (perking up)
other department might have extra supplies we
can use.

That's a good idea. Intern E, coordinate with the

DR. B heads of each department to identify surplus (nodding)
equipment we can redistribute.

INTERN E I'll get right on it, Dr. B.

DR. B Nurse C may you help out intern E as well ?

NURSE C I'll do my best effort.

DR. B Thank you. I really appreciate it.

And in the meantime, can we implement more
NURSE D stringent inventory tracking to avoid future
shortages?
Yes, this is essential to avoid any future
DR. A
problem, Mr. F can you deal with it ?

WAREHOUS I'll work on improving our inventory

E MANAGER management system. We need a more efficient
F process

Oh i almost forgot, lots of our container have

been wron out for some time and there no extra
INTERN E in the storage, so in the meantime Mr F would
you mind ordering some more sharps and
wastes container for later used ?

WAREHOUS I'm glad that you inform to me about this intern

E MANAGER E and i'll sure to get on with it after this
F meeting.

Before that make sure to check if some

DR. B containers are still useable or not and clean
them up.

NURSE D Alright, i"ll inform our nurses.

DR. A
Are there any other suggestions ?
(Silent 5-8s)
Since there no more suggestions, i would like to
thank you all for the cooperation. Let's act
swiftly to ensure our patients get the care they
deserve. We'll reconvene once the supplies are
replenished.

The team disperses, each member taking on their assigned tasks to address
the critical equipment shortage.
