• D.K was born in Türkiye, to two parents who both have a history of cancer. Increasing her
chances of cancer to begin with due to hereditary history.
• She was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma, starting in the cells which line the ducts.
• This cancer is most associated with somatic mutations within the breast cells that
accumulate over time.
• Since the patient was at a late stage three when she was diagnosed, the patients
chemotherapy and radiation regimens were very intense.
