Personal Development Diary

Write details in a Diary / Note book especially the lines marked in blue and track it
monthly for next 3 months. You can keep writing stories in the diary … will be a
good reflection later in life. May this contribute to making you a BRAND

1. Being Futuristic
a) Have you invested your time in learning a new skill/technique that would help you ease your
current job or grow in future in the last one month?
b) Please think of a small new skill that you will want to learn- make your decision and plan
for the same
2. Thinking of solution
a) Do you believe in solving problems instead of complaining? Think of a problem at home and
work, check how you handled it,
-Did you handle it well to your satisfaction?
-Was there a better way for you to handle it?
-What were the good things that were your strengths
-What were the bad things that were your weakness?

b) How will you handle the same situation next time?

3. Positive thinking
a) Do you always look for the scope of improvement / opportunities in difficult / challenging
situations?
-Does challenging work motivate you? Or do you feel distressed when there is difficult
situation?
-Do you inspire / motivate people around you?

b) How will you find ways to cope with difficult situations?

-How can you motivate / inspire someone around you and make a difference in their life?
4. Seeking opportunities
a) Will you wait for the opportunities to come to you or will you catch the opportunities?
-Can you think of any potential opportunity that you have grabbed in the last month?
-Was there an opportunity that came your way and you did not grab it

b) How will you handle an opportunity next time? Is there anywhere you can volunteer?

5. Being Optimistic
a) Do you believe in hope and good will?
-Do you spend time helping others?
-Do you express gratitude?
-Do you forgive?

b) List down situations where you have practiced or NOT practiced the above

- Make a plan how you will be different in months to come and practice the above in your daily
life

6. Keeping positive company


a) Do you feel self-motivated?
Do you believe in making good interpersonal relationship with people who have positive vibes
around them?
b) -Name a few people around you who inspire you
- What are their traits?
- How will you develop these traits?
- After one month check if you have used any skill to inspire someone

7. Avoiding negative thoughts


a) Do you turn the small things into big things that will bother you for days, weeks, or even longer?
-Are you be able to count the good things that happened to you or are you focused only on the
bad things?
-Do you make negative interpretations without facts to back them up?
-Do you make negative interpretations of what others may be thinking about you?
- Are you be able to accept criticism?

b) Analyze situations where you could have handled things better and let go and you could
interpret situation in a more meaningful manner
8. Read Inspiring books / articles / watch movies

a)Have you read / seen any inspiring book or article / any movie in the last month? If yes, which
character had inspired you in that?

b)Do you have those characteristics in you? If not, how can you imbibe those characteristics in
you?
