Algebraic Operations on Functions
If f and g are real valued functions of x with domain set A and B respectively, then both f
and g are defined in . Now we define f + g, f-g, (f.g) and (f/g) as follows :
(i) (f + g) (x) = f(x) + g(x)
domain in each case is
(ii) (f.g) (x) = f(x) . g(x)
