I will wear my seatbelt every time I drive a car


(and wear helmet while driving a two-wheeler)
and make sure about the safety of co-passengers.
I will avoid distractions such as texting
and talking on a mobile while driving.
I will always carry essential documents such as
the Registration Certificate (RC), Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate,
Driving License, and Insurance Document, tool kit and emergency materials such as
spare tyre, first-aid box etc. while driving.
I will always help the victims of road fatalities
and support the law.

I will maintain my vehicle in a good road


worthy condition.
I will always follow the pedestrian first approach
and allow emergency vehicles such as ambulance,
fire truck, recovery vehicles to pass.
I will follow the speed limits of our roads
and will always do lane driving

I will maintain a safe stopping distance while following other road users,
and always check rear view mirrors before making a manoeuvre. 55
