Gents;
As per activities that are performed inside the mechanical workshop including hot work tasks such as using acetylene bottles, grinder machines… ext are to be
considered as source of ignition that can cause fire and may spread all over if the inside workers are not trained on how to act in such cases y using
intervention tools such RIA or fire extinguisher.
Beside of this, mechanical workshops are right located infront of area 650 natural gas block.
So due to;
 The fake alarm that was raised in the mechanic workshop and no action was taken by control room to make emergency phone call was to the concerned
parties.
 Source of ignitions that may spread because of the hot work activities
 Untrained workers on how to act in emergency cases.
We have to deeper with these circumstances in aiming to having identified the hazards, the possible major impacts of each should be itemized, such as:
 Damage to equipment
 Sequential events.
 Damage to infrastructure plant
 Disruption of work.
 Evacuation.
 Casualties.
For these reason,
Emergency plan or Emergency Response Plan that must be review by the responsible specifies procedures for handling sudden or unexpected situations in the
DRI plant that has many types of emergencies as to be categorized in separate task. The objective is to be prepared for:
Prevent fatalities and injuries.
Reduce damage to buildings, stock, and equipment.
Protect the environment and the community.
Accelerate the resumption of normal operations.

Emergency response plans need to include WHO to contact, HOW to act, and RESOURCES to use. To go deeper in this we have to determine these following
points:
 List of responsible people to contact; The list of contact people might be organized by their response category, such as fire fighting team, Rescue Team
 The safety duties and responsibilities of each role in the company for a given emergency,
 Actions required to maintain safety.
 Actions required to mitigate the danger.
 Actions required cleanup incident.
In addition to,
Such future events, the required actions that must be known by, and must be trained for (POB) People On Board are:

 Declare emergency.
 Sound the alert.
 Evacuate danger zone.
 Close main shutoffs.
 Call for external aid.
 Initiate rescue operations.
 Fight fire 650 Natural Gas
