I look in to ILO website. There had lot of codes of practice relating to manufacturing industry.
The British hse website had lots of resource about manufacturing safety procedure. and I also
refers website of IAEA (international atomic energy agency) for radiation hazards and safety

After taking the resource I went to this company and talked with workers who were doing the
job. They helped me to identify the hazard in inside of the company and noted the existing
control measure in work place. EX lots of workers don’t know the purpose of earmuff and they
don’t know the how to use the ear muff.
I also checked an accident report and near miss record. And also consider previous accident
and injuries over the 1 year .and also check the reason for employee’s attendance.
I referred back to the notes that I making during the inspection and the obtained information
from inspection that help me to take the further control measure.

from injuries and accidents. Each worker come to work for earn wages. Through this wages

decrease the morale of the other workers also. That will reflect in company production.so
the profit will be decrease. if injuries happen to workers the society will not accept this and
do not accept that the workers has to be injured to feed their families. If injuries happens
that will be affect the other workers morale. They will also affect mental health of other
worker. The employer gets profit through a worker performance. So employer has moral
right to protect their workers.

When the accident occurs there will be direct and indirect loss there.
Direct cost will be recovered by insurance and indirect cost is not recover. Ex if property or
machine or vehicle damaged it will be covered under insurance but if workers will injured

This company has legal requirements to protect its workers under the ILO
safety and health convection. C 155 says
Every country has try to protect his employer in work place. So they formed
a rules and regulation and legal standards. And any organisation failed to meet this
standards or failed to follow the rules that organisation will face legal action like fine,
imprisonment, and court case. If company continuously violate the rules company will be
face a ban.

if any one violates that rules the enforcement directory will take severe action against the

The likelihood of occurrence of accident if the fire blanket not purchased will be very high. In
welding area there are 5 workers working in this area. This workers has a two shift working system.
Each workers should works to 7 to 11 hours compulsory in a week because welding is the one of
the essential activity of this company. If any obstacles happen during this process that could affect

The severity rating for this hazard is catastrophic because if the accident happens the 5 workers will

. Fire blanket protect workers from high intensity heat. It can use against flames of over 260
degrees. They can also withstand a molten metal splash up to 1200 degree which is way higher
than industrial fires. The fire blanket will be reduce the possibility of fire during the welding process.
And it increases the safety of worker and workplace during the welding.
I will give 12 days’ time scale for buy a fire blanket and to provide to welding area. The welding
engineer has taken responsibility of this action.
This action will be fully control the risk as long as fire blanket is used. The proper maintenance and

The ILO convention c155 and r164 recommendation says employers to make sure that process are
Reasonably safe. The code of practice safety in the use of chemicals at work advices to employer
that protect his workers against the risk identified by an risk assessment.

Requires employers to report cases of occupational respirational diseases to our country health and
safety regulator.
And also all countries have a legal standards if organization contravened that standards
enforcement agency will take the action against the organization that action may be fine or

The likelihood of occurrence of accident if the dust extractor not purchased very likely. In production
area there is a process called machining that process create a dust in production area. In
production area there are 10 workers working in this area. This workers has a two shift working
system. Each workers should works to 7 to 11 hours per week compulsory because machining is
the one of the essential activity of this company. If any obstacles happen during this process that
could affect the entire organization. The dust extractor will be reduce the possibility of dust
inhalation during the machining process. And it increases the safety of worker and workplace during
the machining.

Dust extractor is device which generally drawing dust and particulates from the air through a filter
that captures and separates the matter and then discharges purified air back in to the work place.
The dust extractor will be reduce the possibility of dust during the machining process. And
increases the safety of worker and workplace during the machining.

is radio graphic testing happening by use of IR-192, CO-60 for producing “Gama” rays. In that
radiation material improperly stored in that area. There are 7 workers are working in two shifts. That
workers spends more than 11 hours(per week) in there. If any obstacles happen during this process
that could affect the entire organization. The lead shield wall will be reduce the possibility of
radiation around the improperly radiation material stored area. And it also increases the safety of
worker and workplace during the ndt activities.

Lead shield is most effective shield material to fight gamma ray and x rays. After all lead has a very
high number of protons in each atom which makes it very dense metal shield and it provide
protection from penetrating radiation such as gamma rays and x rays
The lead shield will be reduce the possibility of radiation in radiation material storage ndt area .
And it increases the safety of worker and workplace.
I will give 10 days’ time scale for build a lead shield to provide to all worker in that area.The
maintenance head has taken responsibility of this action.
This action will be fully control the risk as long as lead shield is used. The proper maintenance and
inspection of radiation shield will also decrease the percentage of risk
Every company review their policy once in year. I therefore set the review date to be no later than
12/10/2023. If any change in organisational policy, machine, material, organisational structure, legal
standard, work place the review will be conduct again. That date will be consider as a new review
date.
I will meet with plant incharge to go through and assign the action in the risk assessment. I will
provide summary of assessment to production head, maintenance head, and welding engineer. the
risk assessment copy will be paste on the company notice board. The workers also need to know

I will set the reminders for ten days before the action is due to be completed. I will inform to the
responsible person for each of the actions taken. And find the progress level of each action. If the
progress of the very poor I will find out the reason why eg if the reason is finance or other issues . I
will talk to respective department and try to rectify the issues. If any action not completed within the
time period I will speak to plant incharge and asking more resources for the action. If the action are
very overdue will be referred to the managing director via plant incharge.
