support needs of patients living with long-term dermatological conditions and to
enable them to self-manage as effectively as possible. Like PeDeSI assessment
tool which was developed to meet this need using the self-efficacy construct and
a model of concordance within prescribing practice.

Thrust 2: Service improvement & organizational


Development

1-Centralisation of outpatients through single line management, this improvement will ensure
consistency from both a patient & staff perspective in how outpatient services are operated.

3- Hospital Wide Clinical Handover: To improve patient outcomes and the quality of care which
is delivered a hospital wide clinical handover meeting will be introduced by the Medical Care
Group. The meeting will be chaired by the Clinical Coordinator and will support the timely
escalation of deteriorating patients across the hospital at shift changeover times.

Thrust 3: Technology and innovation


Use newly developed laser technologies in innovative ways which
further expanded the usefulness of these devices. One of the most
important concepts to be developed by dermatologists-selective
photo thermolysis—has led to the creation of a series of laser
systems which have provided numerous unique advantages in the
management of many common vascular and pigmented
conditions of the skin and mucous membranes, even in infants
and children. Thus, Existence OF THE LASER devices is mild crucial.

Thrust 5: Community involvement

Clean water:- There are few aspects of the practice of dermatology that do
not require clean water. It is essential for cleansing wounds, burns, and
abrasions. It is needed for most skin diseases before applying medicaments and
in their removal. Boiling and filtering or chlorinating are some of the systems
used for securing safe water. This will also help in preventing many diseases like
atopic dermatitis which is endemic here in many children
Creating a health community campaigns to teach and aware the community
about many communicable diseases and how to avoid it like (chicken pox patients
should be isolated from pregnant women for at least two weeks to avoid congenital
severe birth defects in neonates. In addition, how to avoid triggers factors in allergies
and hypersensitivity diseases.

Thrust 6: Collaboration and quality assurance


a-The presentations and exercises on quality improvement were found to have
been overall very useful.
b- The measurement for improvement should be assessed by approved scales
and measurements.
c-The virtual meetings to engage more clinicians across all the world and
ensured good attendance and engagement at these meetings
