Notes Before it Works Serving

CAUTION:
At servicing, be sure to turn off the power source according to the specified steps and
disconnect the power plug.

CAUTION:
Do not turn off the power switch when downloading is under way.
Turning off the main power switch while downloading is under way can disable the
machine.

Points to Note at Cleaning

CAUTION:
When performing cleaning using organic solvent such as alcohol, be sure to check that
the component of solvent is vaporized completely before assembling.

Electric circuits of this machine are controlled by the main controller PCB2. The main
controller PCB2 detect the input signals from sensors to output the signals that CL2 CL1
drive DC loads such as motors, solenoids, clutches, and fans at the predetermined timings.
The ADF driver PCB does not have a memory area; data such as the data used in the service M2

mode is stored in main controller PCB2.

■■Power Supply
The power supply lines are shown below.
This machine is powered via two power supply lines (24 V and 12 V) from the reader
controller PCB. The 12 V power is converted to the 5 V power by the DC/ DC converter in the
ADF driver PCB.
