The speaker is one of the key
elements of the basic speech
communication model. It's the person
who is delivering or presenting the
speech. It is the crucial element in
the speech communication process.

MESSAGE
The message is the most important and
intrinsic element of all speech
communication models. The message is
what the speaker is discussing or the
ideas that were presented to the
audience in a particular topic.

CHANNEL
The channel refers to the
medium through which the
message is transmitted.
AUDIENCE
The receiver is the individual or group

FEEDBACK
Feedback from your audience,
conveyed through visual and verbal
cues, helps speakers assess the
effectiveness of their message in real-
time

type of language he or she uses,
which is defined by the degree
of formality.

are five speech styles and they
each are dependent on the
degree of formality.

TYPES OF SPEECH
STYLE
INTIMATE
This style is private, which occurs
between or among close family
members or individuals. The
language used in this style may not
be shared in public.
CASUAL
This style is common among peers
and friends. Jargon, slang, or the
vernacular language is used.
CONSULTATIVE
This style is the standard one.
Professional or mutually acceptable
language is a must in this style.
FORMAL
Formal or deliberative style is used in formal
settings.
Lack of listener participation.
Often used in formal situations wherein there
is only one-way communication
prepared in advance and follow strict rules in
word choice and content.
