Hi! My name is Suchita and I live in Vrindavan, India. My favourite festival is Holi, the
festival of colours. It is a spring festival. People always celebrate it on the day after full
moon in early March and it lasts 16 days.
Holi commemorates the immortal love of Krishna and Radha, and the day before Holi
there are huge bonfires. The following day, we all wear old clothes and have fun
throwing colour powder and water at each other. Then, we usually sing folk songs
and dance together. My grandma sings beautifully.
After that, we go home, have a bath, relax and eat sweets with our family. My brothers

There is a new shopping centre in our city. It’s huge! On the ground floor, there are many
clothes and shoe shops. You can buy designer clothes, designer shoes and really fashionable
bags and belts. There is also a vintage shop where you can buy fabulous accessories.
On the first floor, there are a lot of theme bars. You can have ice creams, snacks or soft
V drinks. You can sit at tables or at the bar on high stools. You can listen to jazz and blues, or
to the latest hits. There is even a bar where you can borrow books or newspapers and read
them in comfortable armchairs.
On the second floor, there is also a casino. Teenagers can’t go there. You must be over 18 to
