NO ONE’S PROPERTY TO DESTROY

“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself.”
The dangerous atmospheric deviation of Earth's environment caused by the harmful
substances from the ignition of petroleum products, air pollutants, and black carbons
has escalated at full tilt, thus developed unnatural weather change. The growing air
pollution from commercial plants, mobile sources, and industrial facilities has led to acid
rains, which made the oceans acidic and reduced biodiversity. Although environmental
pollution is not a new occurrence, the world's biggest problem and the primary cause of
disease and mortality are related to it. Global environmental pollution is mostly caused
by human activities such as urbanization, industrialization, mining, and exploration,

First is urbanization. Doing such activity would also mean having adjustments on
rainfall patterns in urban areas have an impact on not only the weather, but also water
runoff. However, urban areas tend to produce more rain, but they also reduce water
infiltration and lower groundwater levels. Not all environmental concerns arise as a
result of larger metropolitan areas. in addition, even little urban areas can generate
major challenges. This is compounded by the increasing population density and
demands of urban areas which lead to poor air and water quality, insufficient water
availability, waste disposal problems and high energy usage.

Following urbanization is Industrialization. We all know Industrialization has lead

to economic prosperity, yet consequences for such wealth would cost environmental
impacts and stress beyond our planet could handle.

Lastly, Mining. Mining contributes to erosion, sinkholes, deforestation,

biodiversity loss, significant use of water resources, dammed rivers and ponded waters,
wastewater disposal issues, acid mine drainage, and contamination of soil, ground and
surface water, all of which can lead to health issues in local communities. Not only
contributing to environmental stress however, it also influence miner’s health still.
Having Toxic conditions such as black lung disease or asbestosis. one of the most
significant affects that mining has on humans is the pollution that is released into the
environment, resulting in poor water quality.

We have the capacity to look after our habitat as this does not only benefit the
environment we live in; it also provides individual comfort in some way. All nations share
in this responsibility, although developed and emerging nations are doing more to
protect their environment because of increased knowledge and tougher legislation.
Despite the fact that pollution has become a global concern, its effects are still felt due
to its severe long-term effects. We are in charge with the stewardship of all other forms
of life on Earth, and we are responsible for the survival of our species, considering that
all of us are connected. The vast ecosystem depends on how we pay attention and take
measures on self-discipline. We must take action or we will perish with our planet.
There is no other earth waiting for us. We don’t have to sacrifice a strong economy for a
healthy environment. Environment is no one's property to destroy; it's everyone's
responsibility to protect.
