Cover Letter Trevor Lawson

When I was first tasked with creating an ePortfolio last semester in my first ENC class at

UCF it scared me because I had not made a web-based portfolio ever. This led to much stress

about focusing on the perfect ePortfolio and led to many elements not being completed by the

time the first draft was due. I learned after the first draft that if one wants to make a great

ePortfolio or any portfolio for that matter one must piece it together and not focus on it as one

big block. I took this and created my first ePotfolio at the end of 2023 and I was very proud of it

because it had achieved all the goals, I had hoped it would.

When I was tasked with creating this ePortfolio for my second ENC class I wasn’t scared

but excited because I learned that it is a very fun process. I also tried to utilize a more widespread

number of class works within this portfolio because that is something I feel could have been used

more with my original creation. This led to me having the feeling of freedom when creating this,

and this led to an improvement in my interest in the creation process. While I was still unsure

about how to do different things or how to ensure that the quality of my portfolio was up to great

standards I knew if I focused on the work in front of me, I would be proud of the final product.

I learned very much from this creation of the ePortfolio most importantly being able to

display documents in a way that felt interactive and interesting. I feel this was important because

if I want to describe a document there is no better proof of the work than the work. I learned

about how to create a better flow from page to page and tried to make navigation an ease for the

viewer. These are two of the major things I learned while creating this ePortfolio it was a very

fun process and allowed me to enhance skills I do not usually practice to the extent that I used

for this creation.
