Read the Instructions Please join the Onboarding 15 MINUTES BEFORE the actual
on How to Join the schedule through the meeting link above.
Onboarding using 1. Copy & paste the meeting link into your browser
(Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) then click
the Meeting link.
CONTINUE ON THIS BROWSER to enter & launch
the meeting room via Microsoft Teams Web.
Note: You may select Cancel in the first pop-up message so you
MAKE SURE TO READ can click "CONTINUE ON THIS BROWSER"
AND FOLLOW THE 2. There will be a prompt, click “Allow”, so you can always
turn on/off your mic & video once you join the meeting.
INSTRUCTIONS. → 3. Type your Full Name and turn on your mic & video. (Camera check page)
4. Click “JOIN NOW” to be included in the meeting room.
5. Stay in the waiting room until you're accepted by the OB coach.
Latecomers will not be accommodated.

Failure to attend the Onboarding regardless of the reason
will result to DISMISSAL of your application.

NOTE: ONBOARDING IS CONDUCTED via MICROSOFT TEAMS. IT IS NOT ON ZOOM SO PLEASE DISREGARD THE
ZOOM DETAILS ON YOUR PORTAL. In case there’s a demo schedule on your Teacher Account/Portal or if you received
a system generated email regarding Demo, please DISREGARD since we’re still trying to fix the glitch/issues. There will
be NO DEMO & just ensure to attend your Onboarding schedule. Do NOT try to schedule yourself using the portal.

HOW TO DO YOUR RECORDING THROUGH VOICE SPICE WEBSITE https://voicespice.com
Cick RECORD & if there's a pop-up message, make sure to ALLOW microphone. Start reading the exact script given to
you. Once done recording, click STOP. Wait for it to finish, then click SAVE. Pop-up message will appear, edit the title/file
recording name. Click SAVE again. To download the recording, click "LINK", then "COPY" the first link, paste the link to a
new browser, then enter. Below the recording, you can see the LINK and MAP button. Below is the "DOWNLOAD" button
(word DOWNLOAD, located in the bottom right part). Click "DOWNLOAD" to save the recording on your computer.

B. LAUNCHING REQUIREMENTS
Please upload via Teacher Account/Portal and submit the requirements RIGHT AFTER
YOUR PRE-SERVICE ORIENTATION :

1. Professional 2x2 photo Scanned copy/soft copy

2. One Valid ID Use your mobile phone to take a picture of your ID

3. Voice Recording MP3 format only (you can use your phone for the recording)

4. Bachelor’s Degree Diploma Use your mobile phone to take a picture of your Diploma
(Transcript of Records or Diploma / TOR / Certificate of Graduation
Certificate of Graduation also Bachelor’s Degree, Date of Graduation & University Seal or Stamp should be
accepted) visible in the document

KINDLY READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTE: Even if you finished the whole recruitment process until
the Onboarding & New Teacher Camp, there's no guarantee that you will be a 51Talk teacher.
There will be a total Profile check and we will only choose the best applicants who underwent the
whole process with excellent communications skills and good teaching experience. Do not expect
to be hired right away after Onboarding and New Teacher Camp. Always check your email for
further updates whether you make it or not (4-5 waiting days after attending the Onboarding).

(Reminder: ONLY OPEN A BPI ACCOUNT ONCE YOU ARE A LAUNCHED TEACHER)
51Talk will remit your teaching fees through your own BPI savings account only (for teachers
residing in PH). If you don't have a personal savings account in BPI, you need to contact the 51Talk
Fees team once you are a launched teacher. 51Talk will give you a referral letter to present in any
BPI branch so you can open a personal savings account with zero maintaining balance. Make
sure to read the guidelines through the link above.

D. REMINDERS ONCE YOU WILL START YOUR TEACHING


1) Plan your teaching schedules ahead of time (including breaks and rest days). Only open teaching
slots during your most available time of teaching. One teaching slot to open is equivalent to a
25-minute lesson. Students can only book teachers if they have open teaching slots. Once booked,
the name of the student will reflect on your teacher account/portal.
Note: You are not allowed to cancel booked lessons.
2) Conduct and finish the full 25-minute lesson. Do not end the class early and do not extend. End the
class/lesson at the exact 25th minute. All lesson materials can be downloaded in advance through
your teacher account/portal.
3) All lessons/classes are recorded on Air Class. Once you join on AC, the recording will start. Join the
Air Class (AC) Classroom 5 minutes before your lesson and ensure to leave or log out from the Air
Class Classroom after ending the 25 minute class.
4) Do not eat nor drink in between and during classes. Do not do other stuff not related to your
teaching.
5) Always turn your mobile phone into silent mode. Make sure you have a very quiet teaching area. No
background noises during the lesson.
6) Make sure to use the 51Talk tarpaulin as your background. Teaching area must be clean, clutter free,
and well-lit with adequate lighting. Make sure no passers-by during class.
7) Before you start entering Air Class, double-check your equipment. Make sure you have a stable
internet connection, a working headset, and a webcam. Be presentable as well.
Note: Earphones/speakers are NOT allowed. Use the proper headset w/ an extended mic
8) As teachers, we have to respect students’ religious, cultural, and political views. Always focus on the
lesson at hand and avoid discussions pertaining to sensitive topics.
9) Do not take photos/videos of your students in the class and you are not allowed to share them on
any social media sites or with other colleagues.
10) Take note, you can receive complaints from the students or parents so always make sure to do well in
your classes. If any of the prohibitions will be made, you might be REMOVED and blacklisted from
the platform.

Things to remember when printing the Teacher Tarp:


1. Print as is. Do not make any changes to the colors and graphics, and ensure to not stretch or
distort the file.
2. Stick to the standard size. Tarpaulin Format - W 50in x H 36in

This is to ensure uniformity and quality when it comes to our teaching paraphernalia.

Please make sure you’ve completed your teacher qualifications profile in your own Teacher
Account (COMPLETE YOUR PROFILE tab). Upload your 2x2 photo, audio recording, and
government valid ID so you can start teaching and earn as soon as possible (if accepted). Failure
to do this will further delay the launching process.
