27. The sum of first 9 terms of an AP is 171 and the sum of its first 24 terms is 996. Find the 20th term
of the AP.
28. E is a point on the side AD produced of a parallelogram ABCD and BE intersects CD at F. Show
that ΔABE : ΔCFB .
29. An aeroplane is flying at a height of 300m above the ground. Flying at this height the angles of
depression from the aeroplane of two points on both banks of a river in opposite directions are 45°
and 60° respectively. Find the width of the river. [Use 3 = 1.732]
30. Prove that the centre of a circle touching two intersecting lines lies on the angle bisector of the
lines.

Nisha grows to her mother's present age, Asha's age would be one year less than10 times the

prove that the other two sides are divided in the same ratio.
