PREPARATION FOR CALIBRATION

IMPORTANT !!!

1 – all connected COPILOTS have to be in their “0°” position (SPEED! and

AZIMUTH!)

2 – UNITS have to be in their “0°” position

3 – either “LOCAL CONTROL” or “NFU manually ON” have to be activated to

avoid steering maneuvers during calibration
explanation:
during the calibration the DCM module communicates to all connected
encoders (command [COPILOT] and feedback [ENCODER FEEDBACK
BOX])to take actual position as “0°” position

so all of them have to be in their individual “0°” position!!!

REINSTALLATION OF THE CARD

- reinstall the card

- reconnect all terminal plugs
(compare terminal numbers
on module and plugs!)
- last plug to be connected
should be terminals 25-28 !!!

CALIBRATION OF ENCODER

- after the card has rebooted it indicates with flashing of SF1 (“on”, “off”)
readiness for calibration operation
- in between the first 10 sec it needs 2 short 24 VDC pulses to its terminal 17
(DI 1.0) ATTENTION: if necessary first remove connected wires on terminal
17!!!
- for the pulses create a link with a short wire between terminal 9 and pulse two
times on terminal 17 SF1 is lit (calibration of all connected encoders active)

!!“parameter
application is
finished when SF1
starts flashing
again”!!

REMAINING STEPS READY FOR OPERATION

- after the calibration is finished (indicated by the flashing SF1) uninstall the
module (following the first steps)
- switch off DILL switch “S3.8”
- reinstall the module, reconnect the terminal plugs (finish with terminal block
