‫َالَّس َالُم َع َلٰى َو ِلِّي ٱلَّلِه َو َح ِبيِبِه‬

alssalamu `ala waliyyi allahi wa habibihi

Peace be upon the intimate servant of Allah and His most-beloved.

‫َالَّس َالُم َع َلٰى َخ ِليِل ٱلَّلِه َو َنِج يِبِه‬

alssalamu `ala khalili allahi wa najibihi
Peace be upon the friend of Allah and His elite.

‫َالَّس َالُم َع َلٰى َصِفِّي ٱلَّلِه َو ٱْب ِن َص ِفِّيِه‬

alssalamu `ala safiyyi allahi wabni safiyyihi
Peace be upon the choice of Allah and son of His choice.

‫َالَّس َالُم َع َلٰى ٱْلُح َس ْيِن ٱْلَم ْظُلوِم ٱلَّش ِهيِد‬

alssalamu `ala alhusayni almazlumi alshshahidi
Peace be upon al-Husayn the wronged and martyred.

‫َالَّس َالُم علٰى اِس يِر ٱْلُك ُر َباِت‬

alssalamu `ala asiri alkurubati
Peace be upon the captive of agonies

‫َو َقِتيِل ٱْلَعَبَر اِت‬

wa qatili al`abarati
and victim of the shed tears.

‫َالَّلُهَّم ِِإِّني اْش َهُد اَّنُه َو ِلُّيَك َو ٱْبُن َو ِلِّيَك‬

allahumma inni ashhadu annahu waliyyuka wabnu waliyyika
O Allah, I do bear witness that he is verily Your intimate servant and son of Your
intimate servant,

‫َو َص ِفُّيَك َو ٱْبُن َص ِفِّيَك‬

wa safiyyuka wabnu safiyyika
Your choice and son of Your choice,

‫ٱْلَفاِئُز ِبَك َر اَم ِتَك‬

alfa'izu bikaramatika
and the winner of Your honoring.

‫اْك َرْم َتُه ِبٱلَّش َهاَد ِة‬

akramtahu bilshshahadati
You have honored him with martyrdom,

‫َو َحَبْو َتُه ِبٱلَّسَعاَد ِة‬

wa habawtahu bilssa`adati
endued him with happiness,

‫َو ٱْج َتَبْيَتُه ِبِط يِب ٱْلِوَالَد ِة‬

wajtabaytahu bitibi alwiladati
privileged him with legitimate birth,

‫َو َجَع ْلَتُه َس ِّيدًا ِم َن ٱلَّساَد ِة‬

wa ja`altahu sayyidan min alssadati
made him one of the chiefs,

‫َو َقاِئدًا ِم َن ٱْلَقاَد ِة‬

wa qa'idan min alqadati
one of the leaders,

‫َو َذ اِئدًا ِم ْن ٱلَّذ اَد ِة‬

wa dha'idan min aldhdhadati
and one of the defenders (of Your religion),

‫َو اْع َطْيَتُه َمَو اِر يَث ٱالْنِبَياِء‬

wa a`taytahu mawaritha al-anbiya'i
gave him the inheritances of the Prophets,

‫َو َجَع ْلَتُه ُحَّج ًة َع َلٰى َخ ْلِقَك ِم َن ٱالْو ِصَياِء‬

wa ja`altahu hujjatan `ala khalqika min al-awsiya'i
and chose him as argument against Your created beings and one of the Prophets’
successors.

‫َفاْعَذ َر ِفي ٱلُّدَعاِء‬

fa a`dhara fi alddu`a'i
So, he called to you flawlessly,

‫َو َم َنَح ٱلُّنْص َح‬

wa manaha alnnusha
gave advices,

‫َو َبَذ َل ُم ْهَج َتُه ِفيَك‬

wa badhala muhjatahu fika
and sacrificed his soul for You

‫ِلَيْسَتْنِقَذ ِع َباَدَك ِم َن ٱْلَجَهاَلِة‬

liyastanqidha `ibadaka min aljahalati
to save Your servants from ignorance

‫َو َح ْيَرِة ٱلَّض َالَلِة‬

wa hayrati alddalalati
and perplexity of straying off.

‫َو َقْد َتَو اَز َر َع َلْيِه َم ْن َغَّر ْت ُه ٱلُّد ْنَيا‬

wa qad tawazara `alayhi man gharrat-hu alddunya
Yet, those whom were seduced by this worldly life,

‫َو َباَع َح َّظُه ِبٱالْر َذ ِل ٱالْد َنٰى‬

wa ba`a hazzahu bil-ardhali al-adna
who sold their share (of reward) with the lowliest and meanest,

‫َو َش َر ٰى آِخ َر َتُه ِبٱلَّثَمِن ٱالْو َك ِس‬

wa shara akhiratahu bilththamani al-awkasi
retailed their Hereafter with the cheapest price,

‫َو َتَغ ْط َرَس َو َتَر َّدٰى ِفي َهَو اُه‬

wa taghatrasa wa taradda fi hawahu
acted haughtily, perished because of following their desires,

‫َو اْسَخ َطَك َو اْسَخ َط َنِبَّيَك‬

wa askhataka wa askhata nabiyyaka
brought to themselves Your wrath and the wrath of Your Prophet,

‫َو اَطاَع ِم ْن ِعَباِد َك اْهَل ٱلِّشَقاِق َو ٱلِّنَفاِق‬

wa ata`a min `ibadika ahla alshshiqaqi walnnifaqi
and obeyed the dissident and hypocritical servants of You

‫َو َح َم َلَة ٱالْو َز اِر ٱْلُم ْسَتْو ِجِبيَن ٱلَّناَر‬

wa hamalata al-awzari almustawjibina alnnara
and the bearers of the burdens (of sins) who deserve Hellfire—all those supported
each other against him.
‫َفَج اَهَد ُهْم ِفيَك َص اِبرًا ُم ْح َتِس بًا‬
fajahadahum fika sabiran muhtasiban
However, he fought against them painstakingly with steadfastness expecting Your
reward

‫َح َّتٰى ُس ِفَك ِفي َطاَع ِتَك َد ُم ُه‬

hatta sufika fi ta`atika damuhu
until his blood was shed on account of his obedience to You

‫َو ٱْس ُتِبيَح َح ِريـُم ُه‬

wastubiha harimuhu
and his women were violated.

‫َالَّلُهَّم َفٱْلَع ْنُهْم َلْعنًا َو بيًَال‬

allahumma fal`anhum la`nan wabilan
So, O Allah, pour heavy curses on them

‫َو َع ِّذ ْبُهْم َع َذ ابًا اِليمًا‬

wa `adhdhibhum `adhaban aliman
and chastise them with painful chastisement.

‫َالَّس َالُم َع َلْيَك َيا ْبَن َر ُسوِل ٱلَّلِه‬

alssalamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.

‫َالَّس َالُم َع َلْيَك َيا ْبَن َس ِّيِد ٱالْو ِصَياِء‬

alssalamu `alayka yabna sayyidi al-awsiya'i
Peace be upon you, O son of the chief of the Prophets’ successors.

‫اْش َهُد اَّنَك اِم يُن ٱلَّلِه َو ٱْبُن اِم يِنِه‬

ashhadu annaka aminu allahi wabnu aminihi
I bear witness that you are verily the trustee of Allah and the son of His trustee.

‫ِع ْش َت َس عيدًا‬
`ishta sa`idan
You lived with happiness,

‫َو َم َض ْيَت َحِم يدًا‬

wa madayta hamidan
passed away with praiseworthiness,

‫َم ْظُلومًا َش ِهيدًا‬ ‫َو ُم َّت َفِقيدًا‬

wa mutta faqidan mazluman shahidan
and died missed, wronged, and martyred.

‫َو اْش َهُد اَّن ٱلَّلَه ُم ْنِج ٌز َم ا َو َعَدَك‬

wa ashhadu anna allaha munjizun ma wa`adaka
I also bear witness that Allah shall inevitably fulfill His promise to You,

‫َو ُم ْهِلٌك َم ْن َخ َذَلَك‬

wa muhlikun man khadhalaka
exterminate those who disappointed you,

‫َو ُمَع ِّذ ٌب َم ْن َقَتَلَك‬

wa mu`adhdhibun man qatalaka
and chastise those who slew you.

‫َو اْش َهُد اَّنَك َو َفْيَت ِبَع ْهِد ٱلَّلِه‬

wa ashhadu annaka wafayta bi`ahdi allahi
I also bear witness that you fulfilled your pledge to Allah

‫َو َج اَهْدَت ِفي َس ِبيِلِه َح َّتٰى اَتاَك ٱْلَيِقيُن‬

wa jahadta fi sabilihi hatta ataka alyaqinu
and strove hard in His way until death came upon you.

‫َفَلَعَن ٱلَّلُه َم ْن َقَتَلَك‬

fala`ana allahu man qatalaka
So, may Allah curse those who slew you.

‫َو َلَعَن ٱلَّلُه َم ْن َظَلَم َك‬

wa la`ana allahu man zalamaka
May Allah curse those who wronged you.

‫َو َلَعَن ٱلَّلُه اَّم ًة َسِمَع ْت ِبٰذ ِلَك َفَر ِضَيْت ِبِه‬
wa la`ana allahu ummatan sami`at bidhalika faradiyat bihi
May Allah curse the people who, when informed about that, were pleased with it.

‫َالَّلُهَّم ِِإِّني اْش ِهُد َك اِّني َو ِلٌّي ِلَم ْن َو اَالُه‬

allahumma inni ushhiduka anni waliyyun liman walahu
O Allah, I do ask You to witness for me that I am loyalist to those who are
loyalists to him

‫َو َع ُد ٌّو ِلَم ْن َعاَداُه‬

wa `aduwwun liman `adahu
and enemy of those who are enemies of him.

‫ِباِبي اْنَت َو اِّم ي َيا ْبَن َر ُسوِل ٱلَّلِه‬

bi'abi anta wa ummi yabna rasuli allahi
May my father and mother be accepted as ransoms for you, O son of Allah’s
Messenger.

‫اْش َهُد اَّنَك ُكْنَت ُنورًا ِفي ٱالْص َالِب ٱلَّش اِم َخ ِة‬
ashhadu annaka kunta nuran fi al-aslabi alshshamikhati
I bear witness that you were light in the sublime loins

‫َو ٱالْر َح اِم ٱْلُم َطَّهَرِة‬

wal-arhami almutahharati
and purified wombs;

‫َلْم ُتَنِّجْسَك ٱْلَج اِهِلَّيُة ِباْنَج اِسَها‬

lam tunajjiska aljahiliyyatu bi'anjasiha
the impurities of the Ignorance Era could not object you to filth

‫َو َلْم ُتْلِبْسَك ٱْلُم ْدَلِهَّم اُت ِم ْن ِثَياِبَها‬

wa lam tulbiska almudlahimmatu min thiyabiha
nor could its murky clothes dress you.

‫َو اْش َهُد اَّنَك ِم ْن َدَعاِئِم ٱلِّديِن‬

wa ashhadu annaka min da`a'imi alddini
I also bear witness that you are one of the mainstays of the religion,

‫َو اْر َكاِن ٱْلُم ْس ِلِم يَن‬

wa arkani almuslimina
the supports of Muslims,

‫َو َم ْع ِقِل ٱْلُم ْؤ ِمِنيَن‬

wa ma`qili almu'minina
and the haven of the believers.

‫َو اْش َهُد اَّنَك ٱِإل َم اُم ٱْلَبُّر ٱلَّتِقُّي‬

wa ashhadu annaka al-imamu albarru alttaqiyyu
I also bear witness that you are the God-fearing, pious,

‫ٱلَّر ِضُّي ٱلَّز ِكُّي‬

alrradiyyu alzzakiyyu
pleased, immaculate,

‫ٱْلَهاِد ي ٱْلَم ْهِد ُّي‬

alhadi almahdiyyu
guide, and well-guided Imam.

‫َو اْش َهُد اَّن ٱالِئَّم َة ِم ْن ُو ْلِد َك َك ِلَم ُة ٱلَّتْقَو ٰى‬

wa ashhadu anna al-a'immata min wuldika kalimatu alttaqwa
And I bear witness that the Imams from your progeny are the spokesmen of piety,

‫َو اْعَالُم ٱْلُهَد ٰى‬

wa a`lamu alhuda
the signs of guidance,

‫َو ٱْلُعْر َو ُة ٱْلُو ْثَقٰى‬

wal`urwatu alwuthqa
the firmest handle (of Islam),

‫َو ٱْلُحَّج ُة علٰى اْهِل ٱلُّد ْنَيا‬

walhujjatu `ala ahli alddunya
and the decisive Argument against the inhabitants of the world.

‫َو اْش َهُد اِّني ِبُك ْم ُم ْؤ ِم ٌن َو ِبِِإَياِبُك ْم‬

wa ashhadu anni bikum mu'minun wa bi'iyabikum
I also bear witness that I believe in you all and in your Return,

‫ُم وِقٌن ِبَش َر اِيِع ِد يِني َو َخ َو اِتيِم َع َم ِلي‬

muqinun bisharayi`i dini wa khawatimi `amali
I have full confidence in the laws of my religion and in the seals of my deeds,

‫ِس ْلٌم‬ ‫َو َقْلِبي ِلَقْلِبُك ْم‬

wa qalbi liqalbikum silmun
my heart is at peace with you all,

‫َو اْم ِر ي ِالْم ِرُك ْم ُم َّتِبٌع‬

wa amri li'amrikum muttabi`un
all my affairs are based on your commands,

‫َو ُنْص َرِتي َلُك ْم ُمَع َّد ٌة‬

wa nusrati lakum mu`addatun
and my support for you all is already all set

‫الَّلُه َلُك ْم‬ ‫َح َّتٰى َياَذ َن‬

hatta ya'dhana allahu lakum
until Allah permits you.

‫َفَم َع ُك ْم َم َع ُك ْم‬
fama`akum ma`akum
So, I am with you. I am with you,

‫ََال َم َع َع ُد ِّو ُك ْم‬

la ma`a `adduwwikum
not with your enemies.

‫َص َلَو اُت ٱلَّلِه َع َلْيُك ْم‬

salawatu allahi `alaykum
Allah’s blessings be upon you,

‫َو َع َلٰى اْر َو اِح ُك ْم َو اْج َس اِد ُك ْم‬

wa `ala arwahikum wa ajsadikum
upon your souls, upon your bodies,

‫َو َشاِهِد ُك ْم َو َغاِئِبُك ْم‬

wa shahidikum wa gha'ibikum
upon the present and the absent from you,

‫َو َظاِهِرُك ْم َوَباِطِنُك ْم‬

wa zahirikum wa batinikum
and upon the apparent and the invisible from you.

‫آِم يَن َر َّب ٱْلَع اَلِم يَن‬

amina rabba al`alamina
Respond to us, O Lord of the Worlds.

Recite 2 Rakat Salat and seek your needs.
