In today’s society, advances in the Internet has had allow
people to access a huge range of information easily. This
leads to an opinion held by some individuals that children no longer need schooling, but instead they can study effectively at home. In my view, I strongly disagree with this contention. It is a fact that children can access the abundance of education resources such as textbooks, education websites and more with just a few clicks. This can help them to explore new knowledge and deepen their understanding. Nonetheless, because of a remarkable amount of information, students can get confused when they choose topics and study strategies to learn. Besides that, the information on the Internet is not always accurace and reliable, so this can take a toll on students’ overall knowledge. In contrast, teachers at school ensure the reliability and accuracy of knowledge they teach to their students and they also can provide students with professional education curriculums. On the other hand, schools is the place for not only studying academic knowledge but also develop many essential skills. This is because students can develop their communication skills by interacting with their peers and teachers. It is true that children also get these interactions when taking online learning, but it is hard for them to have a strong with their friend and teachers by just doing virtual communication. In addition, during activities in classrooms such as group projects or playing games, students also learn how to collaborate with others, solve problems, or express their ideas in front of many people. These experiences at school can benefit students in their future lives. In conclusion, in spite of the development of technology, internet should be a tool that help students in their studying journeys. Schools are always play an indispensable role in education.
