Quality Control
QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT

Our company has a quality control department under the supervision of Quality
Manager to ensure quality at all levels. The quality control department works round
the clock to synchronize with shift system of the plant.
RAW MATERIAL QUALITY CONTROL

All types of Raw material from our supplier are subject to input quality control test
.Before Production Samples chosen from raw material for Test being carried out
obtain suitable for Production approval.
PROCESS QUALITY CONTROL

To assure quality of the HDPE Pipes during production process and finish product,
Quality Control department ensures that materials used in the manufacturing
process are in strict compliance with the end users' requirement and the end product
is in conformity with the applicable international standards.
EXTENSIVE QUALITY CONTROL:

Tassne pipe undergoes numerous quality control tests, including regular
measurements of critical dimensions, tests for extrusion quality, pipe flattening,
burst pressure, impact resistance, joint integrity, and hydrostatic soundness , Melt
Flow rate, Internal Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance (ICPR), Longitudinal
Reversion (Heat Reversion) , Tensile Strength This ensures optimum quality,

reliability and long-term strength.
THIRD-PARTY INSPECTION:
Independent inspection provides added assurance that Tassne HDPE Pipes meets
applicable standards and specifications. This is done through unannounced plant
audits, verification of materials, procedures and test equipment, as well as through
random sampling and testing of pipe and materials. The quality and performance of
HDPE Pipes are assured by a wide array of tough standards, control tests and
independent certifications.

❖ General Properties of polyethylene Pipes

➢ Raw material classification
Polyethylene is classified according to high density polyethylene

(HDPE),Medium density polyethylene (MDPE) and low density polyethylene
(LDPE). The Molecules of LDPE have a carbon backbone with side groups of
four to six carbon atoms attached randomly along the main backbone. LDPE is
the most widely used of all plastics; it is inexpensive ,flexible, extremely
tough, and chemical-resistant .HDPE molecules have an extremely long
carbon backbone with no side groups. As a result, these molecules align into
more compact arrangements, accounting for the higher density of HDPE.
HDPE is classified to PE 80 and PE 100.

Polyethylene pipe is normally joined by heat fusion. Butt, socket, sidewall
fusion and Electro fusion create a joint that is as strong as he pipe itself, and is
virtually leak free. This unique joining method produces significant cost
reductions compared to other materials.

CORROSION, ABRASION , AND CHEMICAL RESISTANT.

Polyethylene piping's performance in mining, dredging and similar
applications proves it will outwear many more costly piping materials when
conveying a variety of abrasive slurries. HDPE has excellent corrosion
resistance and is virtually inert. it does not need expensive maintenance
protection. It offers better overall resistance to corrosive acids, bases and
salts than most piping materials. In addition, polyethylene
is unaffected by bacteria, fungi and the most “aggressive”
naturally occurring soils. It has good resistance to many
organic substances, such as solvents and fuels.
EXCELLENT FLOW CHARACTERISTICS.
Because polyethylene is smoother than steel, cast iron,

ductile iron, or concrete, a smaller PE pipe can carry an
equivalent volumetric flow rate at the same pressure. It
has less drag and a lower tendency for turbulence at high
flow. Its superior chemical resistance and “non-stick”
surface combine to almost eliminate scaling and pitting
and preserve the excellent hydraulic characteristics throughout the pipe
service life.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND FLEXIBLE.

Polyethylene pipe is produced in straight lengths or in
coils. Made from materials about one-eighth the density
of steel, it is lightweight and does not require the use of
heavy lifting equipment for installation. It reduces the
need for fittings, is excellent in shifting soils and
performs well in earthquake-prone areas. HDPE resists
the effects of freezing and allows bending without the
need for an excessive number of fittings. Since HDPE is
not a brittle material, it can be installed with bends over
uneven terrain easily in continuous lengths without
additional welds or couplings.

DUCTILITY AND TOUGHNESS.

Polyethylene pipe and fittings are inherently tough, resilient and resistant to
damage caused by
external loads, vibrations, and from pressure surges such as water hammer.
Even in cold weather polyethylene pipe is tolerant to handling and bending.

PE pipes can be used in range of temperatures -40°C to 60°C considering the

change of operating pressure. Typically the standard specification identify
class of a HDPE pipe is by the nominal pressure class - PN - up to PN 20 or 20
bar. HDPE pipe can also be classified by the material used - PE 100, PE 80,
PE63, PE 40 or PE 32.
PE pipes are produced in different pressure grades (P N grades), which

indicates the pressure in bars the pipe can support with water at 20°C .

❖ PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
PVC is a common, strong but lightweight plastic used in construction. It is made

softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers. If no plasticizers are added, it
is known as uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) or rigid PVC.

➢ Flexibility
PVC Pipe's resistance to fracture is an extremely important performance

advantage. While PVC Pipes are made from rigid PVC compound, the PVC Pipe
itself has the ability to yield under loading without fracturing. PVC Pipes can
successfully be used where the surface will be subject to external loading such
as road traffic.
The modulus of elasticity of PVC Pipes is a major advantage for buried

applications, particularly where soil movement or vibration is anticipated. In
pressure applications, PVC's modulus of elasticity also reduces the magnitude
of pressure surges i.e. water hammer. PVC-O Pipes has higher resistance to
water hammer than all other pressure pipe types.

pressure. PVC Pipes provide smoother wall surfaces that reduce fluid
friction and resistance to flow
This hydraulic smoothness inhibits slime build-up in sewers and virtually

eliminates tuberculation and encrustation in water distribution mains. The

COD is a Multiple channel cable duct with plain surface, specially coated inner

Combination is flexible, resistance enabling a rolled-on spool regardless of
numbers of sub duct built-in which can be coiled over 300m, 500m . COD is
possible to transport easily and therefore reduce labor cost as well as faster
installation and lower the construction cost. COD open the new era of the
telecommunication back bone with its built-in multiple sub ducts inside of the
corrugated duct, with very distinctive differences from the conventional
telecommunication PVC ducting System. Telecommunication companies agree
on the proven benefits of this product with its great economics and
convenient installation than any other system. COD application services

❖ LONG TERM PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
➢ PEC ducts and its accessories supplied in compliance with this specification,
shall be capable of withstanding the typical service conditions of the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia for a minimum period of fifty (50) years without detriment to
the operation and maintenance characteristics of the product.
➢ PEC ducts and its accessories shall be designed, manufactured and packaged
so that its physical or operation and maintenance characteristics shall not
degrade when exposed to the environmental conditions of Saudi Arabia, and
the expected environmental conditions during storage and transportation
outside of the Kingdom.
➢ The environmental conditions of Saudi Arabia may include ambient air

temperature variations from -10° to +55°C. In addition direct solar radiation is
known to increase the temperature of some outside plant to +70°C.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
GENERAL
The PECD shall be compatible with the latest installation standards and
operation and maintenance practices for the telecommunication’s duct system.
The PECD shall have built-in sub ducts. It shall be flexible and easy to install.
The PECD shall be free of blisters, shrink holes and in homogeneities, which
might impair the performance of the ducts in service.
The PECD shall be acceptably round. It shall be supplied with its ends cut
cleanly at right angles to the axis of the duct.
The PECD shall have accessories, e.g., connector, for connecting the duct to
manholes/hand holes; and joint closure, for enclosing PECD joints.
The PECD and its accessories shall be unaffected by all kinds of corrosive
liquids and other compounds which exist in the underground system.

Introduction
TACO PPRC Pipe produced from PP (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) raw

material according to DIN 8077/78 standards indispensable solution for
today’s indoor cold and hot water piping systems has advantages such as its
lightweight and smoothness, smooth and bright internal surfaces,
calcification and rust-free, hygienic, easy to assembly and takes the place of
galvanized pipes. Used in any kind of indoor hot and cold water pipe systems,
TACO PPRC Pipe are produced from the Type-3 class raw material, also called
as PP-R (Polypropylene Random Copolymer).
PP raw materials are grouped under three classes in terms of its thermal,
pressure and chemical resistance.

Type-3 raw material has higher performance and superior properties than
Type-1 and Type-2 raw materials in terms of its physical and chemical

The most important property of this raw material is high resistance against
heat and chemical effects. Thanks to this resistance, TACO PPRC Pipe
produced from PP-R raw material are used successfully in the cold and hot
water piping systems. Since monomer structure of the PP-R raw material
forms a random chain, it does not allow any biological substance to be
present in its body and so this provides TACO PPRC Pipe produced from PP-R
raw material with superior properties of non-color, taste and smell formation.
When used under proper pressure and temperature values, the life of PPRC
Pipe is more than 50 years.

Pipe spacers are becoming vital part of above ground and underground pipe
line laying operations. They can be designed to be used in situ with concrete
installs and they can also be made to be structural to replace metal/concrete
pipe platforms, made to support pipe in pipe applications or just simple
storage applications. It is also becoming very common to install pipeline
bundles which allow pipelines to be installed with attachments quicker and in
a more neat and organized manner.
Designing a pipeline spacer system can be very complex and is important to

understand structural loads being applied and how often to place a spacer
between length of a pipeline. For such detailed calculations, our engineers can

Duct Spacers accurately separate ducts while locking them firmly together and
mainly used at the ground floor of your application. Base spacers are used to
