Web Analytics Developer

We are seeking a Web Analytics Developer to join Boehringer Ingelheim's global Web Analytics team
within our IT Marketing and Sales department. This team is tasked with managing Adobe tools to
facilitate Web Analytics solutions across 500-700 websites worldwide. Our current implementation is
client-side, but we aim to transition to a server-side implementation. We need your expertise to help
us adopt a new Web Analytics solution with server-side capabilities, which could be from Google,
Adobe, Tealium, Matomo, or other options.As a Web Analytics Developer, you will play a crucial role
in supporting and implementing this transition. Initially, you will work alongside our IT team to
establish a Proof of Concept (POC), then develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and ultimately
assist in deploying the solution globally.

Tasks & Responsabilities

 Implement digital analytics solutions, focusing on the implementation of the Tag Management
System (TMS), Web Reporting tool, and Web personalization tool.
 Collaborate with business analysts to comprehend functional, tagging, and tracking
requirements.
 Partner with technical SMEs for solution designing.
 Develop, customize, and troubleshoot events and tags in implementation environments.
 Work in tandem with other technical team members on continuous development work.
 Regularly audit data collection processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
 Proactively recommend and implement new tools, features or best practices to enhance
analytics capabilities
 Possess excellent collaboration, problem-solving, self-motivation, and analytical thinking
skills.

Requirements

 Minimum 3 years of implementation experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe
Analytics, Adobe Launch, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager).
 Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing tag management systems (e.g.
Adobe, Google, Matomo or Tealium).
 Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Python
programming language.
 Experience in quality checking analytics and 3rd party tags using developer tools such as
Charles, or Chrome Dev tools.
 Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in the field of
digital analytics and data architecture.
 Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
 Ability to quickly learn and utilize new digital marketing platforms and internal processes.
 Fluency in English is required for communication & collaboration across teams globally.
