Rules and guidelines
All 4th grade students:
• Must participate in preparing a career plan for 5th grade.
• Respect each other's choices and opinions.
• Must raise your hand and wait to be chosen before speaking.

Students will:
1. Complete an elementary interest survey to guide them into
discovering and learning about their career interests and
developing their career goals.
2. Create a "Note to Self" booklet for their 5th-grade selves
based on the career they are most interested in.

FOR HIGHER EDUCATION.
Why is career exploration important?
Students can:
• Learn more about themselves and their interests.
• Be prepared for their future careers/jobs.
• Develop self-awareness.
• Gain world experiences and new skills.
• Develop networking and build mentor relationships.

Activity (20-25 mins)
Create A "NOTE TO SELF" BOOKLET for your 5th grade selves using
construction paper,Markers and pencils.

Draw a picture of the career you would like to explore.

Write about how you imagine your everyday life will be like working at your
job/career choice.

Share your career goals with a partner.
