What can you see in the picture? Have you ever traveled on any of these means of
transportation?
Prior knowledge:
- Students watch a video about means of transportation
- Students mention out loud the means of transportation observed in the video
Cognitive conflict
Students answered the questions: Is a horse a mean of transportation? What do you think? Yes,
or not? Why? and what about the legs? are they a mean of transportation? Why?
Purpose of the lesson
Students ask and answer questions about the means of transportation they use to reach a
destination through communicative exchange.
Sequencing
Pre activities
- The students review vocabulary related to mean of transportations and destinations and the
teacher repeat it with their students, including present perfect.
- Teacher presents a meaningful situation: The classes at the “Jimenez Pimentel School” have
finished and all of the students go home. Alex and Tito are outside the school.
Alex: Hey Tito! How do you go home?
Tito: By mototaxi. What about you?
Alex: Me? I go home by bicycle. 60
Tito: Oh, it’s too late! I have to take a mototaxi. Bye! minutes
Alex: Bye!
- Teacher makes a survey about the meaningful situation
-Teacher makes repetitions drills with an example:

Teacher makes different kinds of repetitions:
