Paste Affective
objective below: : HONESTY
Shows awareness of
the importance of
honesty;

Honesty is about not lying or deceiving and being true to one's doing or in any situation.
Honesty is related to organizing statistical data since, when you are handling data, there
Value Concept is a possibility of manipulating the data to gain some personal advantage, like less
work. To successfully organize data in a frequency distribution table, we need to be
honest so that the data will be accurate and reliable.

● What is the Frequency distribution table?

1. Definition
● A frequency distribution is an arrangement of data that shows the
frequency or Occurrence of the different values in an experiment or
study.
● It helps to organize larger data into a table
2. Ungrouped frequency distribution

Ungrouped frequency distribution

● Classifies a given data set (less than/ equal to 30 lists of the sample)
● Categorical data ( ages, gender)
● Frequency of each data is treated as an individual data point or as
discrete data (Measure or counted)
● Single data/ individual data value

Sample data from Wow math youtube channel

3. Column

Column no. 1 Column no. 2 Column no. 3

Class (data) Tally Frequency or the

number of times each
Each item in this Mark every 5th class occurs/
called column is called stroke with a
a class of the table cross stroke for it is the number of
easy counting times an observation
occurs or appears in a
data set
Tally - is a technique to
record continuous
counting
6

● How to organize data in a frequency distribution table ( ungrouped

frequency distribution)

Step 1: Make sure there is raw data from a survey or data from a study or cases.

Step 2: Set up a table using three columns

Class Tally Frequency

Step 3: Paste the category from the data set in the first column or the Class table

Class Tally Frequency

AB

Step 4: Review the raw data and mark a stroke (or tally) depending on how many times
the data occurs in your data set. Put the marks in the tally column in the same row as
their class.

Class Tally Frequency

Step 5: Write down the frequency of each class by counting its corresponding tally
marks - put it in the frequency column.

Example: The following are data obtained in the survey given to grade 7 learners on
the number of pencils they owned.

Generalization Direction: The student will answer the teacher's question to generalize the topic.

1. What type of distribution table do we learn?

2. What is a frequency distribution?
3. What are the three columns of the frequency distribution table?

Application

Instruction: Organize the data set in the frequency distribution table.
