Module Description This module helps students in managing supply chain risks and building
supply chain resilience. The module covers both operational and
disruptions risks throughout the supply chain. Also, it explores proactive
and reactive supply chain resilience elements. The module presents pillars
and approaches needed for building resilient supply chain in which
organizations need to sense, prepare, and respond to operational and
disruption risks towards business continuity. There is a focus on
experienced supply chain disruption events where students are presented
to various real case studies.

Module Learning Outcomes
At the end of this module, a student should be able to:
1 Identify the relationship between supply chain risk management and
supply chain resilience.
2 Help in constructing a supply chain resilience strategy for an organization.
3 Have the ability to recommend and discuss the key-pillar of building a
resilient supply chain.
4 Identify, evaluate and prioritize supply chain risks.
5 Be able to consider different approaches including their requirements, pros
and cons.
