1. Why did the seven people feel hopeless?

Ans: The seven people felt hopeless because they missed
the helicopter that had come looking for them.

2. What did the four men decide to do?

Ans: The four men decided to take turns and wait outside
the dhaba. That way, they would know if and when the
helicopter came looking for them.
3. Why did the men suffer from colds and stiff joints?
Ans: The men suffered from colds and stiff joints because
it was snowing continuously and they had to clear it from
the front of the house every now and then.

4. How did the children help the men?

Ans: The children helped the men in small ways by
making tea, chopping vegetables and tidying up the
basement.

5. How did Jiya, Om and Alka enjoy themselves in the

snow?
Ans: Jiya, Om and Alka made snowballs and tossed them
in the air and watched with delight as they crashed to the
ground.

6. Who offered to help Dinesh and why?

Ans: Jiya offered to help Dinesh. Since Dinesh was tired
and sleepy, Jiya took his place and promised to keep a
watch.
