WHAT’S A PLANT?

Plants are living things.

To grow well, plants need:

- Water
- Air
- Sunlight
- And soil
PARTS OF A PLANT

Flower
The flowers are colourful and Leaves
produce seeds. The leaves take in air and
sunlight.

Roots Stem
The roots take in water from The stem holds the plant up.

TYPES OF PLANTS: Trees
Trees have a thick, hard stem called a TRUNK.
TYPES OF PLANTS: Bushes and grass

 Bushes are short and have a lot of stems.

 Grass is thin and bendy.


PARTS OF A FLOWER
Some plants have flowers and they have different parts.
FROM FLOWER TO FRUIT
 Some flower turn into fruit. The fruit contains
seeds.

 When the fruit fails to the ground, new plants


grow from the seeds.
NON FLOWERING PLANTS
Some plants don’t have flowers or fruit. They reproduce
with spores.
