Hostel and Library facilities
HOSTEL
There is a boy’s hostel at Kharadi and girl’s hostel at Sanas
ground near Sarasbaug, Pune. There are CCTV cameras and
security persons 24X7 at the hostel. The rooms are spacious, well
lit and well ventilated.
Application form for accommodation in the hostel should be
submitted in prescribed format. Hostel application form and rules-
regulations of hostel are available on the college website.
Allotment of the hostel will be on first come first serve basis.
Students will be accepted for the hostel only if he/she is
willing to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel and an
undertaking for the same will be signed by students and their
parents/guardians.
LIBRARY
BAVMC library is located on second and third floor of
college building with ample space for reading, structured in
accordance with NMC. It has latest medical textbooks, e-books
numerous national and international journals and e-journals.
It is well equipped with air-conditioned reading halls for the
students and exclusive faculty reading room for 24 hours.
Along with this, there is a digital library with computers
having high-speed internet connection, with a dedicated staff and
resources in the library that satisfies the needs of both faculty and
students in terms of content and conducive environment for
gaining knowledge.

13. What is the fee structure? Please give details?
a. For last year, state quota total fee was 7,50,000/- per year & for
institutional/management/NRI quota, total fee was 22,50,000/-
peryear. For this year, fee is yet to be finalized. It will be
finalized by the concerned Authorities. Exact fee will be notified
at the time of admission.
16.We have heard that your college will shift to Naidu campus in
next few years and how this will affect academic
activities of student?
Ans: Yes, our college will shift to Naidu Campus from this year
only. Till then first year classes will continue at Mangalwar
Peth Campus and Second year teaching will start at Naidu Hospital
Campus.
25. What are the facilities available in hostel and in hostel room?
Ans: 24×7 electricity, water cooler for drinking water, separate male
and female security guards, invertor back up to 5-6 hours, solar
facility for hot water. Each hostel room is equipped with one bed,
one table, one chair and one cupboard for each student. Attached

bathroom and toilet in each room is also available.

34. Whether there is recreation room/ sports ground available
at hostel?
Ans: Sanas ground can be used by students as sports ground.
Badminton, indoor games like Chess, Carrom and Table tennis are also
available.

44. Whether own vehicle is allowed for students at hostel?
Ans: No, it is not allowed.

Anti-Ragging Measures
Ragging is strictly prohibited in this Campus. Bharatratna Atal bihari Vajpayee
Medical College & Hospital strictly enforces anti-ragging measures and the campus
is free from any form of ragging. Any violation will be dealt with according to the
lawin force and as per the directives of the Supreme Court of India.
Objective: The objective of these regulations is to root out ragging in all its
forms from medical colleges and institutions in the country, by prohibiting it
under these regulations, preventing its occurrence, and instituting punitive
measures against those who indulge in ragging as provided for in these
regulations and in accordancewith prevailing and applicable laws in force.

Actions that may constitute ragging : The following actions shall be included
but not limited to those that may constitute ragging, namely:
(a) any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or
by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a
fresher or any another student;
(b) indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students
whichcauses or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological
harm orto raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student;
(c) asking any student to do any act which such the student will not in the
ordinarycourse do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of
shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or
psyche of suchfresher or any other student;
(d) any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular
academicactivity of any other student or a fresher;
(e) exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing
theacademic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students;
(f) any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or
anyother student by students;
(g) any act of physical abuse including all variants of it, such as, sexual abuse,
homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures,
causingbodily harm or any other danger to health or person;
(h) any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, snail-mails, blogs, public
insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic
thrill fromactively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any
other student;
(i) any act of physical or mental abuse (including bullying and exclusion) targeted
atanother student (fresher or otherwise) on the ground of colour, race, religion,
caste, ethnicity, gender (including transgender), sexual orientation, appearance,
nationality,regional origins, linguistic identity, place of birth, place of residence or
economic background;
(j) any act that undermines human dignity and respect through humiliation or
otherwise;
(k) any act that affects the mental health and self-confidence of a fresher or any
otherstudent with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off
power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student;
(l) any other act not explicitly mentioned above but otherwise construed as an act
of ragging in the letter and spirit of the definition for ragging as provided under
regulations 3 and 4.

The nature of punitive actions that may be decided shall include the following,
but shall not be limited to one or more of these actions that may be imposed, as
deemed fit, namely:
(i) Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges;
(iii) Debarring from appearing in any test or examination or other evaluation process;
(x) Rustication from the medical college or institution for a period ranging
from oneto four semesters;
(xi) Expulsion from the medical colleges or institutions and consequent debarring
from admission to any other institution for a specified period.
