PROBLEM ON CLOSED CLAMP SENSOR 2

This error indicates that the clamp of the spindle 2 (rear/upper) has not been closed
properly.
Check that the cylinder spindle is completely backwards (the cylinder is considered to
come back if the point G is behind the point H of about 1 mm).

If the cylinder of the spindle is completely backwards but the sensor of “closed clamp” (B)
is off it means that the sensor is burnt-out and must be replaced.

To verify the conditions of the sensor, open the PLC DEBUG (START-> CNI-WRT> DEBUG
PLC) and write these variables:

I_PI2CH (sensor of closed clamp spindle 2) and push ENTER twice;

I_PI2AP (sensor of opened clamp spindle 2) and push ENTER twice;

If the values of the variables are: I_PI2CH=0 e I_PI2AP=0 the sensor of “opened clamp” is
broken and need to be changed.

If the values of the variables are: I_PI2CH=1 e I_PI2AP=1 the sensor of “closed clamp” is
working. The problem in this case isn’t on the sensor of “closed clamp” but on the “opened
clamp” because the clamp can’t be opened and closed at the same time. In this case you
have to replace the sensor of “opened clamp”.

To replace the broken sensor is necessary remove the connector and the ring nut and then
extract the sensor.
Once removed the broken sensor install the new sensor.
Insert the sensor on his seat till it blocks himself then fix the ring nut and the connector.

The problem may also be due to the solenoid valve that opens and closes the clamp of the
spindle.
In this case put the machine in manual movements and press the pushbutton of tool
change manually.
If the clamp doesn’t open or close try replace the coil of the solenoid valve. If even with the
new coil the problem persists, try changing the solenoid valve of opening/closing of the
spindle clamp YV63.2 .
