THE CALVIN CYCLE

The Dark Reaction
ATP and NADPH react
together to become a single
molecule called G3P. Glucose
requires 6 carbons to form, LIGHT REACTION
made from 2 molecules of G3P Water (H2O) Energy from the sun is
which have 6 carbons. converted into NADPH and
Sunlight Energy ATP to then undergo the dark
reaction.

PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Carbon Dioxide
(CO2) C
CHLOROPLAST
In this part of the leaf, carbon dioxide O O
and water react using sunlight energy to
produce glucose and oxygen.

MITOCHONDRION
In this, glucose and oxygen react
to produce carbon dioxide,
Glucose water, and energy (ATP).

GLYCOLYSIS
Process of converting glucose into Heat
pyruvate with ATP. The pyruvate is
transferred to the mitochondrion to
make more ATP.
