PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER: On this Feast of the Presentation of the Lord we join with the prayer of
Jesus, Mary and Joseph presenting our prayers and ourselves to the Lord.
Let our response be “Lord, graciously hear us”

1. For the whole Church that, inspired by the Holy Spirit with wisdom and
knowledge, we may follow the example of Simeon and Anna in making Jesus
and his mission known to the world. We pray.

2. For our government leaders, may they have the courage to address
circumstances as they wait for Jesus to manifest in threats of war, violence,
and hatred. May Simeon and Anna become their models of faith and may their
glances upon Jesus teach them of His wondrous deeds. We pray.

3. For the administrators, teaching and non-teaching personnel of all the OP Siena
Schools esp. our institution, Notre Dame – Siena College of Polomolok, that
they may always be gifted with love, strength, and courage they need, to
respond to the call of their duty and mission as they celebrate the Personnel’s
Day. We pray.

4. For the Dominican Order, may its members, especially our dear OP-Siena
Sisters and our today’s Mass Presider, Rev. Fr. Carlo Glenn De La Cruz, may
they always be guided and remain faithful to the charism of preaching and
teaching in building up the Body of Christ. We pray.

5. For all of us gathered here, that may the Spirit of truth and charity remind us
all of what Christ said and help us enter ever more fully into the meaning of his
words. We pray.

6. For all the departed members of our community and of the OP-Siena
Congregation, that they may be welcomed by God’s embrace in heaven. We
pray.

PRESIDER: Almighty Father you have given us Jesus your Son, the light of the world.
May we always walk in his light and live by his truth. We make this
prayer through Christ our Lord.
