WILD TRIP !

The adventure started when a close relative, just back from Africa, told us that
Tanzania was a must-go destination, that he really liked it and it was very inspiring.
So my partner and I listened to him and decided to go to Tanzania on August 20,
because it was high season and we could see a lot of animals. In this review I would
like to let you know how beautiful but dangerous it is to travel in Tanzania. I feel that
telling our positive and negative experiences there will help to clarify more to
travelers who travel to the African continent.

To begin with, the trip was perfect although a bit long because of some stopovers we
made. Once we arrived at the Dar es Salaam airport we had trouble finding a cab
that could understand where we wanted to go. When we arrived at the hotel and had
eaten there we wanted to go for a walk around the city. Dar es-Salam, city: A huge
metropolis super disorganized in which you have to be careful with motorcycles,
when crossing, people who offer you cabs, tours, money exchange, etc.. We went
very quiet and ended up stressed, we were not at all used to the pace of the city and
therefore had to return after half an hour.

On the second day, the most awaited moment, going on Safari to the Serengeti. It
was a beautiful place. We went with an old but very reliable Land Rover. It was like a
movie and I understand why people come back after the trip with a different
mentality, especially because you are every second of the Safari thinking that you
will overturn the car. Not otherwise, but the guides go very fast in rocky and very
unstable terrain. I dropped my sunglasses and they stayed there. Surely some
monkey will be enjoying them. It is here that I say, very inspiring but dangerous in the
sense that all the cars compete with each other to have the best view. I thought the
dangerous thing was the lions, but the most dangerous thing is the cars.

To conclude, I would like to give some advice to the next people going to Tanzania. I
do not recommend eating anything that is not from the hotel or something
supervised. Do not drink water that is not a sealed bottle. Do not get into a cab
because it is dangerous for safety and for the money you can be charged later. That
said, to solve these problems the best thing to do is to hire a guide for the whole trip,
even if it is a bit expensive, it is worth the investment. We went without and I think we
would have enjoyed it much more with a guide.
