D. Discussing The teacher will discuss “Bullying”:
New Concepts
and Practicing Bullying is when people repeatedly and intentionally use words or actions
New Skills against someone or a group of people to cause distress and risk to their
well-being. These actions are usually done by people who have more
influence or power over someone else, or who want to make someone else
feel less powerful or helpless.

Types of Bullying:

1. Verbal Bullying:
Verbal bullying involves using words to hurt or humiliate someone. This can
include name-calling, teasing, or making derogatory comments about a
person's appearance, abilities, or background. Verbal bullying can have a
lasting impact on a person's self-esteem and can be emotionally damaging.

2. Physical Bullying:
Physical bullying involves using physical force to harm or intimidate
someone. This can include hitting, kicking, pushing, or any other form of
physical aggression. Physical bullying can cause both physical and
emotional harm to the victim and is never acceptable.

3. Social Bullying:
Social bullying, also known as relational bullying, involves manipulating
relationships and social status to harm someone. This can include
spreading rumors, excluding someone from a group, or intentionally
embarrassing them in front of others. Social bullying can be subtle but can
have a profound impact on a person's social well-being and sense of
belonging.

4. Cyberbullying:
With the rise of technology, cyberbullying has become more prevalent.
Cyberbullying involves using electronic devices, such as computers,
smartphones, or social media platforms, to harass, threaten, or embarrass
someone. Cyberbullying can happen at any time and can be difficult to
escape, as it can reach a wide audience quickly. It is important to
remember that actions taken online can have real-life consequences.

Ways to Prevent and Address Bullying

Step 1: Build a Strong Support System

Imagine you are a tree with deep roots. Just like a tree needs a strong
foundation, we need a support system made up of friends, family, and
trusted adults. Reach out to them when you need guidance or someone to
talk to. They can be like the branches that hold you up when you feel down.

Step 2: Speak Up and Be Heard

Raise your voice against bullying, just like a lion's roar. Don't stay silent if
you witness someone being bullied or if you are a victim yourself. Tell a
trusted adult, teacher, or school counselor about what is happening. By
speaking up, you are taking a stand against bullying and making a
difference.

Step 3: Be Empathetic and Kind

Imagine you are a pebble thrown into a pond. Your kindness and empathy
can create ripples of positivity. Treat others with respect, kindness, and
empathy. If you see someone being left out, be the person who extends a
hand of friendship. Together, we can create an environment where bullying
has no place to grow.

Step 4: Stand Tall and Confident

Imagine you are a mountain, standing tall and strong. Believe in yourself
and your abilities. Hold your head high, maintain good posture, and make
eye contact. Bullies often target those who appear vulnerable. By projecting
confidence, you are less likely to be a target.

Step 5: Practice Self-Care

Imagine you have a toolbox full of tools to take care of yourself. Just like a
carpenter takes care of their tools, we need to take care of ourselves
physically and emotionally. Engage in activities you enjoy, get enough
sleep, eat well, and take breaks when needed. Self-care helps us stay
strong and resilient in the face of bullying.

Step 6: Seek Help from Adults

Imagine you are a ship sailing through rough waters. Just like a ship needs
a captain, you need the guidance of adults. If you are being bullied, seek
help from a teacher, school counselor, or any trusted adult. They can
provide support and help navigate the challenges you may face.

F. Developing Activity: The Riddles

Mastery
Riddle 1:
I am a type of bullying that's hard to see,
When mean words are used to hurt you and me.
It happens online, in texts, and on the phone,
Can you guess what type of bullying I've shown?

Riddle 2:
I am a type of bullying that's physical,
When someone hurts you, it's not at all whimsical.
Pushing, hitting, and tripping too,
Can you solve this riddle? Give it a clue!

Riddle 3:
I am a type of bullying that's relentless,
When someone excludes you, it feels like a sentence.
Leaving you out and making you feel small,
What type of bullying is this? Give it your all!

Riddle 4:
I am a type of bullying that's hidden away,
When rumors and secrets cause dismay.
Spreading gossip and lies all around,
What kind of bullying can be found?

Riddle 5:
I am a type of bullying that's intense,
When someone threatens you, it makes no sense.
Forcing you to do things you don't want to,
Can you figure out this riddle that's true?

Remember, bullying is never okay,

Speak up, seek help, and find a way.
Together we can make a stand,
Creating a safe and kinder land.
