INTRODUCTION
Our school canteen is a vital facility, serving not just as a place where students
and teachers buy their food, drinks, and school necessities.
In this regard, this study aims to assess students' views about the canteen
services. The evaluation of these opinions will highlight areas that need
change or improvement, and help implement new strategies to better meet
the basic needs of our students.
RESEARCH QUESTION
Our research questions include:
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this study aims to supplement the school with creative ideas
geared towards enhancing the canteen service systems, ultimately
contributing to the well-being of our students.
CHAPTER 3
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Moving on to the research methodology, this chapter will outline various
methods used to gather and analyze data relevant to our study. It includes the
research design, sampling procedure and sample, data gathering method, and
data analysis.
RESEARCH DESIGN
Our research design will utilize Qualitative Research, specifically the case study
methodology. As stated by Ronito Mohan in 2021, a case study is a research
process aimed at understanding the subject, event, or organization. It can
address one or more observations and examine a series of events or a single
case. An effective case study tells a story and provides a conclusion. This
approach will allow us to delve deeper into the students' perceptions and
experiences of the canteen services at BNHS.
SAMPLING PROCEDURE
As for the sampling procedure, we will be using non-probability sampling,
specifically purposive sampling. As defined by Dovetail in 2023, purposive
sampling is used to select a specific group of individuals or units for analysis.
It's suitable when the researcher has a clear idea of the characteristics they
wish to study and wants to select a sample representative of those
characteristics. In our case, these will be the students of BNHS who utilize the
canteen services.
DATA GATHERING
Finally, our primary data-gathering method will be through interviews. We will
prepare a set of questions designed to uncover the students' perceptions of
the canteen services in terms of food choices, hygiene, pricing, and the
treatment they receive from the canteen workers.
CONCLUSION
this methodology will allow us to gather comprehensive, qualitative data on
the students' perception of the canteen services, which will be instrumental in
identifying areas for improvement and enhancing the overall canteen
experience at BNHS.
