WHAT IS
DIGITAL  Digital media is any communication media that operates in
conjunction with various encoded machine-readable

MEDIA data formats.

 Digital content can be created, viewed, distributed, modified,


listened to, and preserved on a digital electronic device,
including digital data storage media and digital broadcasting.

 Digital is defined as any data represented by a series of digits,


and media refers to methods of broadcasting or
communicating this information. Together, digital media refers
to mediums of digitized information broadcast through a screen
and/or a speaker.

01 . PAID MEDIA

Paid media refers to promotional channels that marketers pay to use,


including traditional media (e.g., television, radio, print, or outdoor
advertising), online and digital media.

This model compels businesses to develop sponsored media then


pay social media platforms like Instagram for the right to show such
media to customers in the platforms' newsfeeds.

These customers become exposed to paid media, sometimes


referred to as promoted or sponsored posts.

02 . OWNED MEDIA

Owned media refers to digital assets and channels that a company or


individual controls and manages.

This includes websites, social media profiles for example Facebook


etc., blogs, and any other content platforms own and operated by the
entity.

Entity means the owner or controller of the channel such as business


or person managing their online presence

03 . EARNED MEDIA

 Earned Media denotes public relations media channels like


television, newspapers, blogs, or video sites that do not require
direct payment or control by marketers but are included because
viewers, readers, or users are interested in them.

 Free media is essentially online word of mouth, typically in "viral"


trends, mentions, shares, retweets, reviews, recommendations, or
content from third-party websites. When one's product or service is
so good that users cannot help but post it on their social media, they
get a lot of "earned media".
THE ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL MEDIA

It cost cheaper when producing a content. Digital files are easily


transmitted and received. It is generally faster and works with high
and fast speed than analogue media. Its made work easier and
faster.

Its end products of produce sound or vision is more quality compared


to the analogue media where the quality is reduce each you copy it.

Digital copies are always exactly the same as the original.

Digital videos are much easier to produce and very much easier to
edit.
THE DISADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL MEDIA

Its made it easier to steal information and calls it yours and


more tempting for students of all ages to cheat.

Its made it easier to copy and mass reproduce pirated


movies and music.

Its easy to synchronise digital sounds.

Data can crush, lost or become corrupted.

 I think it will be harder to find or get jobs to do as much companies, industries and
retail shops are using, working and installing robots and computers to do the works of
human.

 Most of our digital media products like games,


movies, songs and pictures won't be our personal properties again because we have
nothing physical to hold onto in our hands.
