“ ADOPTING THE BARANGAY AGENDA FOR GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT

(BAGAD) FOR P.Y. 2024-2025 OF BARANGAY ________________, __________________,
MARINDUQUE.”

WHEREAS, the Local Government Code of 1991 states that barangay shall serve as the
primary planning and implementing unit of government policies, plans, programs, projects, and
activities in the community, and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be
expressed, and where disputes may be amicably settled;

WHEREAS, the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections has installed
barangay officials in various capacities and assumed roles and responsibilities as enunciated in
the above-said law;

WHEREAS, the DILG, as the primary agency in-charge of capacitating the barangay
officials, has issued Memorandum Circular No. 2024-008 on January 19, 2024 to provide the
guidelines in the implementation of the term-based Barangay Newly-Elected Orientation
Towards Great Barangays Program;

WHEREAS, one of the outputs of the BNEO Program is the formulation of Barangay
Agenda for Governance and Development which shall outline the barangay governance
priorities and will serve as inputs to development planning;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to adopt, as it is hereby

adopted the Barangay Agenda for Governance and Development (BAGAD) for PY 2024-2025 of
Barangay _____________, ____________, Marinduque;

RESOLVED FURTHER AND FINALLY to furnish a copy of this resolution the DILG
City/Municipal/Provincial Office of Marinduque, for their information and reference.
