RESOLUTION REQUESTING ______________________(THE MAYOR)

OF DUMALAG, CAPIZ FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF SOLAR STREET LIGHTS OF BARANGAY DURAN,
DUMALAG, CAPIZ

WHEREAS, it has been agreed by the Sangguniang Barangay Members of this Barangay
during the session dated ______________________ to ask financial assistance for the installation of
street lights of Barangay Duran from the Office of the Mayor.

WHEREAS, solar powered street lights are raised light sources which are powered by
photovoltaic panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during
the night.

WHEREAS, the solar street lights will boost economic development in Barangay Duran by
creating a safer environment for nighttime commerce and more energy efficient.

WHEREAS, solar street lightning can provide safety benefits at midblock and intersection
locations and can also improve safety to pedestrians, this treatment has been shown to reduce the
number of pedestrian crashes and improve lighting can also help to discourage street crime.
 WHEREAS, it can be used to promote security against illegal activities of New People’s
Army (NPA) at night since such terrorist group causes disturbance and fear towards the constituents
during nighttime.

WHEREAS, it will help prevent accidents and increases safety which provides economic and
social benefits to the constituents.

RESOLVED, it is hereby resolved, to make a humble request to allot funds needed for this
project.

RESOLVED FINALLY, the copies of this resolution shall be furnished to other concerned
person for their information and appropriate action.
