BARANGAY RESOLUTION

CONSTITUTION OF THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF BARANGAY RAMAIN

WHEREAS, the Barangay Development Council (BDC) is a vital institution mandated to

facilitate the development planning and program implementation at the barangay level;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of 1991, it is necessary to establish the Barangay Development Council of Barangay
Ramain to ensure the active participation and representation of the community in local
governance;

WHEREAS, this council shall be composed of members who shall serve for a term of three (3)
years, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the said law;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the Sangguniang

Barangay of Barangay Ramain, Sultan Naga Dimapor, Lanao Del Norte, in a regular session
duly assembled, to constitute the Barangay Development Council of Barangay Ramain as
follows:

Section 1. Composition of the Barangay Development Council (BDC)

The Barangay Development Council of Barangay Ramain is hereby constituted and shall be
composed of the following members:

1. Punong Barangay ________________________ - Chairperson

Appropriations
3. Barangay Kagawad ________________________ - Chairperson, Committee on
Infrastructure
4. Barangay Kagawad ________________________- Chairperson, Committee on Social

5. Barangay Kagawad ________________________- Chairperson, Committee on Environment
6. Barangay Kagawad ________________________- Chairperson, Committee on Peace and
Order
7. ________________________- Youth Sector Representative
8. ________________________- Senior Citizens' Sector Representative
9. ________________________- Women's Sector Representative
10. ________________________- Indigenous Peoples' Sector Representative
11. ________________________ and ________________________- NGO Sector
Representatives

Section 2. Functions and Responsibilities

The Barangay Development Council shall have the following functions and
responsibilities:

a. Formulate and recommend policies, plans, programs, and projects for the development of
Barangay Ramain;

b. Assist in the preparation of the Barangay Development Plan, Annual Investment Plan, and
Annual Budget;

c. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of development programs and projects in the
barangay;

d. Coordinate with the local government unit and other government agencies for the effective
delivery of basic services to the community;

e. Facilitate the participation of civil society organizations and other sectors in local governance;
and

f. Perform such other functions and duties as may be prescribed by law or delegated by higher
authorities.

Section 3. Effectivity

This Barangay Resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.
