REFLECTION

Success and failure are two sides of the same coin. In life, we experience both
success and failure, and these experiences shape us into who we are today.

After reading the “To the Opportunities I did not take” by Janine Liwanag, I
sense a mix of resilience, disappointment, and a profound understanding of the
intricate dance between opportunities and limitations. It's evident that you've
encountered setbacks and missed opportunities, yet you've developed a perspective
that allows you to embrace both the successes and the missed chances. The
willingness to take risks, apply for various opportunities, and learn from both
acceptances and rejections is quite admirable. There's a bittersweet tone as you
acknowledge the constraints beyond your control but also remain optimistic about
what the future might hold.

One of my notable failures was when I failed a class when I was a freshman. It
was a difficult subject, and I did not put in enough effort to understand the concepts.
Although it was disheartening to receive an 'F,' it taught me a valuable lesson about
the importance of hard work and perseverance.

Another experience of failure was when I did not get an award in Science fair
competition, when I was in high school after a series of sleep less night. It was tough
pill to swallow as I had invested so much time and effort into the process. However,
this failure taught me the importance of resilience and the need to keep trying
despite setbacks.

Personal experiences with both success and failure are essential for personal
growth and development. Success teaches us about the rewards of hard work and
perseverance, while failure teaches us about resilience and the need to keep trying.
Through my experiences, I have learned that success and failure are both necessary
for growth, and I welcome both with open arms. Overall, your perseverance and
ability to find solace in your journey despite the setbacks shine through your words.
